so we did not win yet again, effort was put in by the players, but sadly in the end just not good enough.
The fans have changed, gone are those high expectations, it now seems they are now resigned to the fact, this season may well be a big struggle.Gone also the anger at suffering another defeat, the posts on here show me that, I am beginning to wonder if some fans are now starting to lose interest in the results and outcomes of games.
Yes standing back and trying to pretend we do not care, may soften the blow of another defeat, may save the cat from getting a kicking, but if we are truly honest with ourselves, we know the pain is still deep down.
What ever happens we must not give up the faith, we must show our support where we can, failure to do so, may well see our team slip even lower and I do not know what would happen if we were to drop into an even lower league.
It really is still early days the club has the time to make any decisions it may need to, in the hope that the season can be put back on track, please do not allow yourself to get to a position, where you feel you no longer care, it really does matter that our team TUFC can restore its pride, the same pride you have all felt for the team, when it has enjoyed better times.

Whats worse? the stay aways who just can't bear watching whats being dished up or the idiots who will pay their money just to turn up and slate the team the moment a pass is mis placed ? The abuse Wayne Carlisle had to apparently take last week is shocking. If that type of person, paying their money to purely abuse anyone who doesn't have the first touch of Henry or ability to hit one like Lampard are still happily spending Saturdays at the good ship Plainmoor then I'm better off out of it as I have a very short fuse with plebs of that nature. Start to play football again and I'm straight back in, regardless of results.

I agree with some of your sentiments bitemebryn, I have considered staying away from Plainmoor lately purely because I cannot stand to hear the abuse aimed at the players. The venom aimed at Wayne Carlisle has been absolutely disgraceful and shameful. However, I continue to go because I don't have it in me to stay away on match days.
I don't like to see us in such obvious freefall at the moment but I would rather go along and continue to support the club I have been supporting for 30 years. I genuinely felt hopeful that we would turn around last season's disappointment and come back stronger, although I was personally gutted to see Lee Phillips leave as it seemed Buckle couldn't wait to get rid and Chris Zebroski signing for Wycombe was another major loss. I was doubtful our side could cope with the loss of those two and Petef's post about "Some big boots to fill" was spot on!
The season is only 7 games old but has an all too familiar feeling of inevitability about it...all I can do at the moment is keep the faith, keep attending and try not to dwell too much on the very sad fact that the team look completely devoid of ideas, morale and confidence (difficult one that) and also try and turn a deaf ear to the neanderthals whose only mission is to spit venom and pasty at any player in yellow within earshot (extremely difficult).

Maybe the club should errect a sign at the turnstiles.
YOU ARE ONLY WELCOME IF YOU SUPPORT THE TEAM . BOOING AND ABBUSE OF PLAYERS AND MANAGEMENT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED FANS WHO DO SO WILL BE BANNED AS IT IS COUNTER PRODUCTIVE.
Or maybe they will just take their money and let them in..

Hi plainmoorgirl a warm welcome to the forum as I have not had the chance to say it before.the club can only hope it has many more like you, who will feel they could never stay away from Plainmoor.I said in another post on here, how sad it is when the team we love, ends up getting booed off the pitch.
I can fully understand how bitemebryn feels, at the end of the day its his money and If he feels he is not getting the entertainment value he was looking for, then who can blame him.The ground no longer has the atmosphere it used to have, so many faces you always saw walk past you, do not come anymore.
Too many wanting to shout their mouths off, getting on the players backs, for simple mistakes, just where has all those good days gone , we once so enjoyed at Plainmoor. They can come back, the team has to play its part out on the pitch.
Not just by playing proper football, but giving 110% in every game. No fan would ever get too unset If the team lost, If they saw the players give everything that could, to try and win.

Hi DaveR, thanks for the welcome. I feel I should point out that I'm not a happy clapper or some sort of martyr supporter and can fully understand why people would choose to stay away from Plainmoor at the moment. Maybe I need to get out more! ;D
