I was sent a PM yesterday asking if I would do some predictions for the World Cup. I gave it a bit of thought last night and as it is nearly upon us this is what I have come up with!! It will be open to any member of the TFF that would like to take part, the more the merrier!! It will be just one division, with points system the same as I use in the PL, but with England getting the double points!! (3 pts correct score, 1 pt correct result, 6 pts England correct score, 2 pts England correct result) No need to sign up just start predicting and I will do the rest, you can join in at any time. I will post the initial 48 fixtures in three sections of 5 days each and do a league table at the end of each 5 days. I will then post the knock out stages as they evolve. Lou you are a star as always and so glad I made you laugh on the phone the other day re used goods  So come on folks we are out of season and still over 100 log into the forum everyday and so I see no reason why we can’t have at least 50 members taking part in this. Lou works so hard running the Junior Gulls and has given herself even more work to do trying to add a bit more fun for us in this year’s world cup. It would be great to even see Merse join in this one off competition and support the efforts of Lou and the TFF. I might even try and come up with a prise for the outright winner. Many thanks Dave I don't mind giving it a go as a one off tournament although not really interested week in and week during the season. That is on the proviso that you are all very kind if I pick up the Wooden Spoon. I am particularly sensitive you know! The only question I have is where do we post results? Via PM or on the main Message Board? |

There will be a thread for each weeks results you will need to predict on, simply copy and then paste the games listed and post them in a new post on that thread, not forgetting to put in the scores. |
