I bet you have never forgotten your first ever game at Plainmoor, well I know that my Dutch friend Rolf never will forget his first game. I had come to the end of another great night at a hotel in Torquay that only had Dutch guests, they all came on coach holidays and the hotel only had entertainment one night a week on a Monday night. I was just about to pack up my gear when the hotel owner came over with Rolf who was staying at the hotel with his wife. The owner said he had been talking with Rolf who had asked him if he knew if TUFC had a game this week, The owner said Dave is the man who will know. We had a game the very next night and Rolf asked how to get there etc, I said I would take him and arranged a time to pick him up from the hotel. Rolf was a bit shocked by this, but also touched and felt the English people were really kind and helpful. Its well know that for a joke his first words to me when I picked him up were "sorry Dave I do not kiss on first dates" It sure broke any ice and we had a great night, not sure what game it was but Rolf as posted about it on here somewhere. Guess who is standing behind me and Rolf all those years ago, well only our poster of the week timbo.
