Thank-you for sharing these pictures of you childhood, Dave ;D
Back then the spelling of Paignton was a little different but the trains change that!

I'll buy you a pint when you and your family have dinner out with Carol and I soon Stuart if you can name the street in the very first picture.

I win one pint for me, double or quits then? how is that? that is a view from winner Street looking down Church Street towards Paignton Parish Church. On the right is the London Inn (or whatever it is called these days) and then the Palace Place Social

Are you two talking about the same pictures??
As Stuart says, No.2 has got to be Church St.
I thought the first one was Old Torquay Road in Preston, but if Dave says it's near Fisher Street, I'll plump for Dartmouth Road.
I'll check out the others more closely later but Dave, isn't that you chasing after your ma on the Promenade?

midlandstuc, as always you are correct in what you say, my defense is it was very late again for me and yes two was Church Street, i will end his misery as it would be near impossible to guess unless you were living in the late 1800's as I believe the cottages were knocked down at the start of the 1900's
They were in Cecil Road

Cecil Road eh? I'm sure I passed out there once in a drunken stupour - mind you that could be said of me in many streets in Torbay.
No.8's annoying me. The others I can get (I think! - it's been 20 years...)
