Here are 2 more examples of Crooky's talent. Again, permission has been sought and granted to post these classics from the artist. Likewise, could I request a "no copy" rule on these "a la Dave R." Enjoy for what they are and what they represent!! PURE GENIUS!! CROOKY'S "SPIN" ON THE THREAT OF ANTHRAX ATTACKS IN BRITAIN. CROOKY'S TAKE ON THE FACT THAT DAVEY G WAS REGULARLY GRABBING HEADLINES AND ATTRACTING CLUB SCOUTS FROM FAR AND WIDE AGAINST THE BACKDROP OF EVENTS IN IRAQ!!

really impressive crooky. are there any more in development? Bhamgull, Various people have requested more of the same over the years but I think that Crooky looks on it as something that he does WHEN / IF he has some spare time. I believe the coloured caricatures seen above take in excess of 5 HOURS to complete, from start to finish -that's a lot of hard work. Hopefully, we'll see more offerings in the future - but alas (and I hope Andy doesn't mind me saying this), I feel it will be LATER rather than SOONER due to work commitments.

Many thanks to Crooky who has let the forum put Up another Of his brilliant works, that until today as only ever been seen by Mike and Sue Bateson. Below are the words from Crooky's emai. Dave. Attached is a cartoon that I drew shortly after gaining promotion in 2004. It is the last Torquay related cartoon that I drew. It was supposed to have appeared in the Capital Gulls promotion special. Unfortunately, for one reason or another, the issue never made it to print. The only people to have ever seen this cartoon are the Bateson's themselves..they loved it! Don't know whether you remember the circumstances. Bateson was on a cruise holiday at the time when we won promotion at Southend. He had also been making comments regarding finances should we get promoted. Regards Andy Once again many thanks crooky, you work as given so many so much pleasure. Dave R

Were they one off pieces or mass produced as a while ago I purchased the ones of Aggrey, Bedeau & Brandon All were meant to be "one off" pieces - for publication in the Capital Gulls magazine. However, a deal was struck with regards to the "more popular" players pics to have them on sale in the club shop. Unfortunately, under the old regime, they priced them far too high (surprise, surprise) - so a commercial opportunity (on both parts) was sadly missed. Such a shame......Crooky has even had stuff published in the Arsenal fanzine "Gunflash" in the past. Seems that under the old regime, GREED (in over optimistic shop prices) blew a promising project "out of the water" before it had got a chance to flourish. Their loss I think.........

I've just looked behind me on the wall and there is our wedding gift from Mr Crook - a picture of myself and the wife, complete with yellow and blue bouquet. The Greenford One took it upon himself to enhance the wife's prize assets - her teeth. Next to it is another of his materpieces - me in my TUFC kit sporting rather ominous stubble. They still make me chuckle now.
