Due to changes I made today to the TFF photo gallery it has meant Crookys great pictures are now all over the place ;D as they are so good and really should be seen by anyone who reads this forum I have put them all on a new post and put a sticky on the thread. I believe there may be one or two more I have not found yet( I remember one of a bar maid well built in a flood?) I will try and find them and add them to this post.

Here are a selection of cartoons that have appeared in the Capital Gulls magazines over the years.
Michael foot was given a squad number 90 at Argyle to mark his 90th birthday.
A few years back a coach load of Gulls fans had been on their way to Carlisle and were near Preston when they got news that due to a frozen pitch the Carlisle match was off. They diverted to Villa Park where via phone they had been ensured by Villa officials that they would be able to watch Villa-Spurs. However they were refused entry when they arrived at the ground.
The lovable Merv Benney was rumoured to have refused entry to Watfords Luther Blissett to the Plainmoor boardroom due to what he had done to John Uzzels face on a previous visit to Plainmoor. Easy mistake to make, Merv!!!
And yes...I have realised that I have spelt Paignton wrong!! ;D
Going Greek?
This one dates back to when a series bra adds were all over the billboards and the Exeter players were not receiving their wages
This was drawn at the time when a plan was scuppered to kidnap David Beckham
This is still appropiate...isn't it Mr Drogba??
World Cup 2002
In the jungle
A great selection of cartoons drawn for the Arsenal fanzine 'Gunflash' which is reputed to be the oldest fanzine in the world having been in production since 1949. crooky has very kindly allowed the forum to use these cartoons.
Here are 2 more examples of Crooky's talent.
Again, permission has been sought and granted to post these classics from the artist.
Likewise, could I request a "no copy" rule on these "a la Dave R."
Enjoy for what they are and what they represent!!
PURE GENIUS!!
CROOKY'S "SPIN" ON THE THREAT OF ANTHRAX ATTACKS IN BRITAIN.
CROOKY'S TAKE ON THE FACT THAT DAVEY G WAS REGULARLY GRABBING HEADLINES AND ATTRACTING CLUB SCOUTS FROM FAR AND WIDE AGAINST THE BACKDROP OF EVENTS IN IRAQ!!
Dave.
Attached is a cartoon that I drew shortly after gaining promotion in 2004. It is the last Torquay related cartoon that I drew. It was supposed to have appeared in the Capital Gulls promotion special. Unfortunately, for one reason or another, the issue never made it to print.
The only people to have ever seen this cartoon are the Bateson's themselves..they loved it!
Don't know whether you remember the circumstances. Bateson was on a cruise holiday at the time when we won promotion at Southend. He had also been making comments regarding finances should we get promoted.
