is to remain as england manager,the right decision i think  He's the best man for the job and now HE has to find his best men for the job, with the emphasis on men.Young men that is, get rid of the tired old laggards who made such twarts of themsleves at the World Cup, and some of the not so old ones too. There is much to do, but a side fit to represent the country is there to be found hidden away in the bowels of some of the Premier Clubs and maybe at some of the Championship clubs too. Perhaps if some of our rising stars were to forego the Premiership and seek to gain experience playing in the leagues of Spain, Holland, Italy and Germany we might then have an England squad that doesn't kack itself at the first sign of a foreign environment. The days of people like Ian Rush complaining that living in Turin was "like being in a foreign country" have got to be banished for good ~ where did the idiot think Juventus played their home games............. Weston Super Mare?  Don't just laugh at the Rush mentality though, you only have to study the behaviour of John Terry and Ashley Cole to realise the severe limitations of mental ability of this England squad. You only have to look at the attempts to defend the first German goal last week to realise the attention span to pre-match instructions of this present lot. Good luck to Fabio Capello ~ he'll need that as much as ability. |

agreed merse,he will have to almost start again building the squad,it will be difficult,but the powers to be will have to listen to him,and make changes,they are my concern to be honest,stick in the muds,but this was a good decision by them.Capello let nobody down,the players did,we werent good enough and unable to follow basic instructions,the international scrapheap beckons for most of the present crew,but their attitude tells me they wont give a flying fig anyway,they looked like they couldnt care less,and it showed on the pitch

Agreed that the Upsons, Heskeys, Ferdinands and te Terrys have had their day but for the life of me I cant think of any young Premiership " English" International class players pushing for selection. The oldest squad at the world cup and the reasons are obvious our young players do not get the opportunity to develop their skills and get experience because the top clubs and their supporters want instant success and buy in foreign talent to feed there hunger for success.
As long as that sittuation remains I believe we will continue to struggle as an International force with the likes of Ghana overtaking us on the World stage.
