.......................no wonder the Jocks get pissed off with you English banging on about one flukey year many moons ago, you really must get over it Anything that pisses off "The Jocks" is fine by most England fans.....................Jeez, we don't even bother playing them any more they are that inconsequential. Winning a FIFA World Cup is nothing to "get over", it is somethig that those of us who were around at the time are very proud of and will forever hold in our hearts. Coming within a gnat's whisker of doing it again in Mexico (1970) and Italy (1990) is also pretty pleasing too to anyone with any common sense and appreciation of the damned difficulty of it all. If you have a problem with "the English" it's a bit stupid living in England isn't it? Yes some of us WILL continue to bang on about winning the World Cup in 1966, it's why our players are entitled to wear that gold star above their England shirt badge and it was bloody fabulous! England ~ one time World Cup winners .................. Portugal, Holland, Russia, Mexico and a host of other major football powers would die just to equal that record. Scotland have never won it, Australia have never won it and I would wager never will!

I don`t have a problem with the English, just muppets like you that seem to have nothing better to do than try and belittle others all the time just to feel some sort of superiority, small mans syndrome I believe it`s called! Why did you have to come on this thread and start slagging off Australia anyway? I know you like to keep stirring the shit but now it`s past the point of being boring! Most people came on this thread to welcome me back but you have to have a pop at every opportunity, it`s time you grew up or just went away! It`s no wonder you were banned from Another site, and at one point banned from here, I`ve spoken to lots of people that know you in the local pubs and they say you are the reason why they don`t go on forums any more and they all hate you with a passion, so it`s not just me like you think it is that has a problem with you there are loads of people that think you are nothing but trash and a trouble maker! You put up some extremely good posts sometimes and f**k it all up by attacking someone, what`s the point?

Do not want to get too involved with this thread, but will remind members to keep personal feelings where another member are concerned out side of the TFF. Aussie I did say to you if you do not like any one member on here, then don't read their posts or enter into debate with them.
I do feel you started looking to get back into a fight with Merse since Sunday, can you please just drop it and stick to posting your views on the many subjects that are being discussed on here, I and others do not want to be reading these sorts of posts.

Nice to see Aussie back and maybe it is the best time to finish with this particular thread and move on .... first league game almost here so plenty to look forward to. Hope you have a good day in Bath tomorrow Dave (weather permitting) and look forward to some photos of a quite beautiful small city.

Dave No I didn`t look for anything Dave, I was posting things relavant to this thread until it got high-jacked, if you read back you will see several people agreeing with me about what I had said and then a certain member ( member probably being a correct term in this case ) decided he didn`t like what I was saying so started to attack Australia with his verbal crap so I just defended my position. I expect said member will find a way of turning this against me, as usual, and try to make me out to be the agressor, the whole topic of this thread was to welcome me back wasn`t it? Not to try and rip into me which is exactly what he has done, so the blame isn`t all mine mate! One poster on this thread even went as far as to point out how obnoxious said poster was being. You yourself on a different thread got me wrong as well by thinking I was trying to say everyone should get to the ground early because it would be packed, but as RJD points out it was because I was trying to state the game kicks off at 7.30 p.m and not 7.45p.m. So maybe a lot of this is down to the fact that I am being missunderstood and maybe I am also guilty of missunderstanding where some posters are coming from. Looking forward to the day that forums are a spoken media rather than a text based media.

Na but what I mean is you can`t put an inflex on something in text like you can in speach, if you get my meaning, Italians use their hands to help put an inflex or exageration on something and other nationalities also have their own lean on the situation.

I do feel you started looking to get back into a fight with Merse since Sunday, can you please just drop it and stick to posting your views on the many subjects that are being discussed on here No I didn`t look for anything Dave, I was posting things relavant [sic] to this thread until it got high-jacked, if you read back you will see several people agreeing with me about what I had said and then a certain member ( member probably being a correct term in this case ) decided he didn`t like what I was saying so started to attack Australia with his verbal crap so I just defended my position. This is a forum, which means it is a vehicle for contradicting viewpoints. Holding a viewpoint which differs from someone elses is what makes debate "work". It does not mean a "country is being attacked" and anything posted on here is by nature written rather than verbal..................think about it, it's not rocket science is it? If you have a phobia about "Australia being attacked" Aussie, then I suggest you seek help. If you construe that an observation about the limitations of your favourite World Cup football team that does not match yours is hijacking a thread, then God help us all because this eclectic forum will become as dull as ditch water and no longer appealing to the many people who have "found" this forum and thoroughly enjoy the experience of taking part in it or merely reading it; despite the popular myth you claim circulates in the pubs and bars of one part of Torquay.

Their main misunderstandings clearly come from different interpretations of the pluperfect, subjunctive, imperative, and indicative tenses. Aussie is certainly too tense! Actually, the PMs he sent me as part of our agreed anger management strategy were low on verbs altogether, consisting mainly of adjectives and nouns in the fornicative and genitaliative cases respectively.

It has been recognized on Another site that the resident bully is at it again! Yes they do read this site. I`m not alone in this being got at business, a certain member on here has a history of it but as usual will deny that he deliberately targets people for his special kind of abuse, he will also deny that he abuses people just as he denies calling the Socceroos dross and a scrubbing brush team, i.e slagging off my team like I said he had and he thoroughly denies saying it!

Really Aussie? just one person mate who really needs to get a life and move on and by carrying this on as you are now, you just give that sad man more fuel to try and keep his very sad campaign against the TFF and myself and also merse going. Move on aussie and start joining in with the good debates, I'm really bored with reading this every morning.

Well having nothing better to do other than to get breakfast and go off to work this motivated me to pop over to the other side and have a look. Utter drivel! (not the whole site just that particular thread). Isn't the colourful instigator of the thread somebody who has been banned from here a few times but keeps sneaking back in under assumed names with a false passport and moustache? Quite clearly this Forum which he chooses to slag off holds something of a fascination for him!
