and help Dave pay for the ads to be removed, I`m giving him a fiver at the next home game. If we as members of this forum want to be ad free then we really should help, and quite alot of us at a fiver each will sort the problem out for Dave and the site for quite a long time! Who`s with me?

Had anyone noticed the ads until Aussie mentioned them? They're hardly intrusive are they? In this day and age advertising and branding appear on just about everything.................if you watch a football match on the "advert free" Beeb, you still have those moving images all round the pitch and I can think of better things for people to be chipping in on.

To cut this short we will not be going ad free, I was offered yesterday a tidy amount to make the forum ad free from a member who paid out of his own pocket the last time to keep the ads off the forum.
I declined the offer as if we went ad free I would want to keep it that way all the time and I sure can't afford to keep it ad free myself and I don't think its right any member should be asked to help to keep the forum ad free.

Barely notice the ads myself either. This only came up as rightly so a member asked if an ad that contained audio could be stopped from showing up on the forum, such ads should not ever get onto the forum and it was reported and removed. At least it has given me the opportunity to explain the procedure for reporting ads on a thread in our members only area ( forum news board) so any member can report an ad they feel breaks the criteria set out by proboards directly to them so they can take action if required.
