I have stumbled across another TUFC full international. This one is particularly remarkable in that he is one of the few who went on to international football after playing for TUFC rather than the other way round and that he played for not one country but two - scoring two on his debut for "Irish" Ireland against Germany and one on his debut for "British" Ireland against England. You could be forgiven if the name Tom Davis doesn't really ring a bell - his record for TUFC was just four games and one goal. After scoring on his debut in the first game of the 1932/33 season, he lost his place to Paignton boy George Stabb who went on to grab 26 goals in 45 games, keeping Davis out of the centre forward position. Released at the end of his only season, he went on to score pots of goals for New Brighton, Oldham and Tranmere and even had a brief spell at French club Metz - before sensibly deciding that living near the French/German border in the mid 1930s wasn't such a good idea! www.soccerscene.ie/sssenior/player.php?id=94nifootball.blogspot.com/2006/10/tom-davis.html
