Thanks for your great pictures, sad how things just get left to rot, Rolf had told me that due to land shortage In Holland, places like this would soon be rebuilt on.

The ground has been demolished shortly after my visit. i'm glad I saw this one. I missed out on a few good ones like The Dell, Ayresome Park, Roker Park and the Baseball Ground... Here's a quote taken from Wikipedia:

Unfortunately there will never be another football kicked on that site again...........................unless it is in the living room of one of the hundreds of high end market flats still under construction there. Wasn't Ron Noades the main beneficiary of all that development? I often pass the sight on the corners of Durnsford Road and Plough Lane SW18................it really is the arse end of Wimbledon, and the development is the beginning of a re-generation of the area. The football ground was always a tip anyway, just as the greyhound stadium is next door. Not a venue to be over sympathetic over in my opinion and now AFC Wimbledon STILL don't play in the Borough of Merton - Kingsmeadow is in Kingston on Thames in the Borough of Kingston & Richmond!

I think AFC Wimbledon are still trying to move back to Merton, the area "where the belong"?
Or am I correct that they did buy Kingsmeadow stadium?
