And what about Impey. Did he have a son called John?I think that's Alan Impey who was to play in Minehead's outstanding team of the mid 1970s which - believe it or not - was one of the best outside the Football League. Was he related to our John?

No idea about the Impeys I'm afraid. If Alan was from Exeter they're probably related.
As for the Wrexham photo, I think we're in denial about someone in the front row.

Don't forget the golden rule of the football obsessive.
Whenever there is a random list of eleven or more players, it is compulsory to form them into an imaginary team with imaginary tactics.
I'm going for a flexible 4-2-4 come 4-3-3.
SHEPPARD
BOULTON GREEN STOCKS PARSONS
BENSON RIOCH
CAVE STUBBS FRYATT SCOTT
I'm looking for Benson and Rioch to stamp their authority on the midfield, Cave can drop back and help out if required. We'll feed Scott whose crosses will find the mighty head of Fryatt. Stubbs can get on the end of Fryatt's knockdowns and will enjoy latching on to Rioch's through balls.
