Well, goodbye to the Ashes for now, think we will be seeing a change of the old guard for the next two tests as we need to rebuild from this debacle.
At least one Englishman can apparently bat oz!

Stokes is the only one who can hold his head up, the rest are cr4p! what the hell happened to Anderson, he could bowl once upon a time! England were very six months ago, it can't go bad that quick, questions will need answering honestly if you ask me!

Hey Aussie, congratulations on getting that little urn back in your possession .....haven't got any excuses from our end....we just want good enough.......personally I don't think we need to make wholesale changes.....we haven't become a bad team overnight......sometimes in sport we have just to take it on the chin ,and admit we are beaten by the better team......or should I say hammered......ha ha ha...... I won't lie I am devastated we lost the series.....so for now mate look after that urn.....we will have it back next time you come to our shores.....anyway mate well done.....si

Graeme Swann has bottled it! Flower wants out, I think this throw in the towel attitude is the key reason for England's demise! long may it continue! :-)

Yep, shouldn't really have gone mid tour but being home for Christmas if he wasn't going to play must have been very tempting. I think the problems in the England side coupled with the hunger that the Aussies have displayed has contributed to this massive turnaround in the performance levels of the two sides!

morning Phil! just read Swanny has a bad elbow problem and can't rotate his balls quick enough to have the desired effect! there I was under the impression he used a wrist action rather than an elbow pump but hey I'm no expert! been accused of many times mind! if he feels his balls no longer have the mojo then perhaps he hasn't bottled it!

Tis a fair point chelston....surely if the guy wasn't fully fit before the tour he shouldn't have gone, regardless if the ashes or not......just wonder if he would of made same decision if we had retained the ashes,we will never know....personally I think the whole swann situation is a farce.....it's bad enough we have been well and truly beaten....like you said supposed to be professional sportsman, should of been handled in a so called professional manner by all in the England camp...but alas this wasn't the case....si

Things are getting worse and worse, another humiliating defeat, who would bet against a whitewash now?

it's no fun beating a team who is that crap! some good for England at the G though, Glenn Mcgrath damaged Pierced Organ in the nets with 3x92 mile an hour deliveries! ouch! will it be another 27 years before you win it back again?

Humiliating....bit of understatement there rob....have watched and played cricket for over 40 years now....and I have to honestly say I have never been so embarrassed to be be an England fan as I am now.....that batting display on the 3 rd day was the worse I have ever seen .....the Aussies haven't been in great form over the 12 months or so ..but they have made us the laughing stock of world cricket.....I am very positive in my outlook usually......but today for once am lost for words......so fair play to you Aussie you have done a job on us ......well done mate.......si

I know the summer series was closer than the scoreline suggested and that home conditions can count for quite a lot but for there to be such a big disparity between the two sides in back to back series is something no one predicted (at least the way it is) with the difference coming from mainly England dropping their performance levels with the batting prowess behind non existent. Johnson may have had some say as well.....

Agree with the Johnson factor......but it's just that rob,our overall performance in every department has been woeful.....I really feel for those who have saved there hard earnt money for a trip of a lifetime to witness that.....I can take defeat on the chin....bit at least have ago and wear that shirt with pride......basically rob we bottled it mate.....si

even when England were having their collective arses handed to them on a plate the Barmy Army still cheered them, applauded them and tried to lift them, why can they be such heroic fans yet when it comes to football the nation turns into this horrible selfish ugly monster? really really home sick! when did football adopt such arrogant attitudes!
