Another BR handbill, this one from November 1948 advertising a day Excursion from Torbay up to London for the away game on the 20th at Leyton Orient which had, according to the handbill, a 2.45 kick-off. According to the programme it was 2.30!
The game was lost by United 3-1 in front of a crowd of 14,426. The Magpies goal was scored by Sam Collins.
