Does anyone have any news on Poke, How bad Is his injuries and when can we expect him back? It maybe the case that with Bevan here for a month, that Poke will come back when Bevan's loan Is up.
Unless Bucks Is hoping to sign Bevan In January, In that was the case I could well see his loan being extended until then and Poke not returning at all.

Well Dave, your question has been read 28 times and no response, so it is safe to assume that everyone is in the dark on this. Unless Mystic Merse has his ball out again?
Personally I would like to see both of them at the club competing for the shirt. However, I think hard cash and poor gate receipts would be the stumbling block there.
Hope someone's had a word with Ricey and put an arm round his shoulder. They obviously want to keep him but think he needs another year or two under his belt (or some platform boots) before he can really fight for the #1 jersey.

They obviously want to keep him but think he needs another year or two under his belt (or some platform boots) before he can really fight for the #1 jersey. Do they though? Personally, I'm not so sure. In fact I think that if we can "offload" Ricey in January, by doing a deal with Truro - then that could open the way for Bevan to join on a permanent basis. Given that Poke will not be available for the FACup games, and we are looking to have a decent run in that competition to boost the coffers if we can - and given that Buckle may well rest Poke (his first choice keeper) for FA Trophy games - then even if Bevan is considered 2nd choice (to Poke) at least, provided we have a good run in both competitions like we did last year, he will get some match action over the remainder of this season. It did appear that Bucks was trying to sign 2 keepers in the summer at one time- we were turned down by both Nikki Bull and Adam Bartlett (the reason he gave for turning us down was that he wouldnt have been first choice) in the same week - so I think Ricey's days may be numbered. The other consideration, is that whilst Bucks is happy to go without a sub keeper on the bench during the League season, and personally I support him in that decision - I'm not so sure that he would be quite so keen (I know I wouldn't be!) to go into one off games - like Play Off Semis/Finals and FA Trophy Semis/Finals without a keeper on the bench - and so a more permanent solution might be sought - hopefully by bringing in Scott Bevan in January. I dont imagine he (Bevan) would be too keen on being a second choice keeper here - but perhaps if he were to be patient, he might consider joining us - on the promise that he will be first choice for next season. There is of course always the possibility that Bucks may consider Bevan as his first choice keeper, over Michael Poke, anyway - but I wouldn't imagine that Southampton would be too happy if that were to be the case.

Well it's obviously an 'option' but is Mr (how tall!?) Bevan up for it and is the club?

Official website states that Poke is still some way from returning but does not give any time scale.

D.T seems to think Pokes return will still be some way Off, we really need to make sure we keep Bevan, Or get a new keeper In. I would hate to see this great run come to an end, because we ended up having keeper problems again.
