Well i will do a small report of the game.
Travelled up took about an hour to get to Edge downpark. The home of witheridge,
Nice set up with a small clubhouse, got a cup of tea from the canteen,
1ST time i had seen their new lights, bit dissapointed with them as their was various dark patches over the pitch.
Speaking to the groundsman he said their had been a foot of snow on the pitch last weekend so to get the game on after the big thaw was no mean thing.
Buckland had not played for over a month and this showed during the game, think various players had to much of the christmas pud.
Buckland started well and in the second minute a huge decision by the ref had a great influence on the outcome of the match.
Liam Mosely was put through the goal keeper came out of his box, moser lobbed the keeper but the keeper handled the ball outside the box . Mr Cloak (the ref )who in the past games involving Buckland was never slow in showing his cards , produced the red for the keeper, Luckily for Withy they had a sub goalie.
The resulting free kick came to nothing,
But 5 mins later Moseley was through again and finished well.
Buckland continued to press forward and should have had a penalty, but Mr Cloak waved the appeals away.
Witheridge went straight tothe other end and got an equaliser.
Michael Booth got his first goal of the night befor half time to give the Bucks a 2 1 ht lead.
Another well welcomed cup of tea at half time was well received by the Bucks faithfull who had traveled up from South Devon.
Buckland up it up in the second half and made their man advantage tell scoring at regular intervals Through Booth & Gill (2) and player manager Lynch who came off the bench got 2 more , the final goal was a cracking og where the defender cleared it off the line but the ball hit his fellow defender straight in the face and rebounded into the net.to give a rather flattering score of 8-1 and keep Buckland top of the pile for 2010 and go 6 pts clear of Bodmin. &put the reigning champions ahead of their rivals.
attendance 85 with 25 - 30 from Buckland
