From my days of collecting programmes I always remember Stockport's GO GO GO COUNTY. I wonder if people actually shouted that or whether it was one of those new-fangled 1960s pop era branding efforts? More like "'king ' ell, County!" (wouldn't that have looked good on the cover?)
Alex Young - the "Golden Vision". Rather before my time to truly appreciate him as a player but I do remember watching Ken Loach's late 1960s TV film. I've just found it here - at - so will find time to see it again.
