One month to go until the cricket showpiece tournament gets underway in the sub-continent. England have never won this competition although hold the 20/20 World Cup! I seem to recall that the Aussies may have done fairly well in recent world cups so another chance to get one over them as they are pretty naff now. The England squad holds no real surprises although some may have expected Stephen Davis to be the keeper. England's World Cup squad: Andrew Strauss (Middlesex, capt), James Anderson (Lancashire), Ian Bell (Warwickshire), Tim Bresnan (Yorkshire), Stuart Broad (Nottinghamshire), Paul Collingwood (Durham), Eoin Morgan (Middlesex), Kevin Pietersen (Surrey), Matt Prior (Sussex, wk), Ajmal Shahzad (Yorkshire), Graeme Swann (Nottinghamshire), James Tredwell (Kent), Jonathan Trott (Warwickshire), Luke Wright (Sussex), Michael Yardy (Sussex).

I take it you watched the short version of the game Down Under after the the Ashes? We did a bit better in that! Both t/20 and one day!

Cannot see us getting anywhere near winning the world cup with the side we have at the moment. broad/swann will improve it but this world cup is too soon for this side.
The Aussies are best at this form of cricket and Sri Lanka and India playing in there own backyard will be very hard to beat with South Africa alsogoing to do well.
