With all but 3 premier games called off, Buckland had the chance to increase their lead to 15 pts.
The pitch was in an excellent condition with no standing water on the playing surface.
St Blazey have tremendous support and are always very vocal and right from the start they were giving our goal keeper a lot of stick because of his pink jersey, but james took it all and had the last laugh keeping a clean sheet.
Buckland had the majority of the posession but could not convert all of this into any goals.
The nearest they came when S Gill headed against the bar in the first 5 minutes,
The referee who had a resonable game gave us a penalty but the keeper saved well and prevented A Lynch adding to his 24 for the season. ht 0-0
St Blazey improved in the second half but did not realy trouble James in the Bucks goal.
Half way through the second half Antony Lynch was put through and shot well the ball went under the keeeper`s body
to give us a lead.
With time running out and with the referee finding 7 added minutes St Blazey had a loud shout for a penalty and claimed their was a handball inside the area.
The Blazey vociferous supporters claiming we had brought the referee from Devon with us, when he turned away their appeals.
Buckland took the ball to the corners and a chorus of Boring Boring Buckland rang out from the home end.
But the nice official!!! blew up and Buckland are now 15 pts clear
but nothing is won in February.
Nice friendly people.
MOM Cant make my mind up between James Wannell and Cameron Kelly
