Buckland 2 Ivybridge 3 aet
well deserverd win for Ivybridge, the greens tonight took a 2 0 lead but Buckland replied through Marc Revell and Liam Drew to take it to extra time . ivybridge scored in the 1st period to take the tie, and now play Plymouth Parkway in the semi final.
Well done once again.
Buckland will have to concentrate on the league now.

Many thanks AMY, winning the league is far more important and I'm sure Buckland will bounce back from this rare defeat and make sure they win their next league match.

A second hugely enjoyable game this season between Buckland and Ivybridge. I fancied Buckland after ninety minutes but, once Ivybridge got their third, that was it.
Excellent supplement to update the programme from last month's postponed match. Mentions that Ivybridge are about to turn pitch through 90 degrees, build stand and install floodlights. I know this has been on the cards for a while but now looks like it's about to happen. Progress reports from Ivybridge residents would be most welcome.
Buckland v Argyle in the St Lukes - next Wednesday at the Heath?

I haven't watched an Ivybridge Town home game since before Christmas but I know that they were due to play their last game on their old pitch about 3 to 4 weeks ago. Although the ground is less than a mile from where I live due to it's location on the Ermington road I rarely pass it. However I did stop and have a look 2 weeks ago. There are no goal posts now at Erme Park so I do not know what arrangements Ivybridge have in place for their home games. I will ask when I see someone connected with the club. The work has certainly started and at present is just a large area of mud which is fenced off. When I stopped there was a large lorry together with smaller items of plant and people were doing some work (looked like they were preparing drainage). The pitch being turned at 90 degrees is a bit of a misnomer, as although the new pitch will be at about 90 degrees to the old pitch it is in a completely different place. The area of work is just inside the entrance to Erme Park next to the Tennis Club, whereas the previous pitch was some way in to what is quite a large field. No sign of the surround wall (vital to collect entrance money as it was somewhat difficult before in the wide open playing field), a stand, or floodlights yet but I am sure it will all be in place in time for next season. The funding is in place and work has started (which is more than can be said for the Plainmoor project!)

Match report of last nights game as too late with extra time etc last night.(Got to get up for school)
All good things must come to an end .Buckland lost for the first time in 21 league and cup games to give A Lynch the first taste of defeat.
Ivybridge were the better team in the early exchanges and should have gone in at the break leading, but with some poor finishing Buckland were let off the hook.
Ivybridge continued to press forward and took a two goal lead early in the second half, but Buckland never no when to give up and pulled two goals back very late on.
Marc Revell scored from a header from a cross from the left by Gaze. and Liam Drew scored in the 87 minute where he ghosted in at the far post to score this sent the home fans wild as Buckland have been making a habit of scoring late on .
Ivybridge looked shell shocked and there only looked one winner The ref blew up and Extra time was required.
Buckland were now in control but against the run of play Ivybridge scored from close in firing high into the net.
Buckland could not score again and Ivybridge held out to send them into a semi final against Plymouth Parkway.
My honest opinion The greens deserved their win and should have put the tie to bed before extra time.
Well done.
Buckland will now have to concentrate on the league, and start by winning again against Cullompton on Saturday.
attendance 70 - 80 No details given

Checked with a club member and apparently Ivybridge have already completed all of their home games in order that the work could commence so that it would be ready for the start of next season. According to the excellent SWPL website Ivybridge are listed for two more home league games this season but I expect they switched the fixtures with the clubs concerned. Had a look today and no obvious signs of progress since I last checked but there were people there working so with about 20 weeks before next season there should be plenty of time.

Buckland's programme suggested Ivybridge had completed their home fixtures so thanks for the confirmation. I guess the new set-up will enable them to enter the FA Vase followed by the FA Cup.
