Good old Basil talks about a player who scored "three blinding goals" in a pre-season match but didn't produce the goods once the season got under way. Thankfully Billy Kee's started to do it.
Also a reference to Aldershots as the "Soldiers". Wonder when that died out? A 1958 book in my collection talks about the "Soldiers" or the "Shots".
Well done to the supporters for their "thundering good job" working on the Marnham Road terracing.
