Bodmin also lost tonight 2-1 to Falmouth back in our hands now. Excellent news. Knew it was best to log on here before the SWPL site. Personal business today meant a trip to Taunton Town 0 North Leigh 0 rather than Buckland.

A comfortable win in the end for bucks but they made it hard for themselves now and again before finally finishing Bovey off., sounds a bit like Torquay doesnt it?
Bucks played some really good stuff at times in the first half and came close on a few occasions before the last 15mins became scrappy. However in that period there were three goals. Soft defending in both boxes resulted in bucks leading 2-1 at half time.
Second half was slow to get going although Bucks had a great chance to increase their lead but missed a pen. They did however finally get themselves in front and saw out the game comfortably.
Just before the end we saw the best wing play of the entire match when hurtling down the right wing not a Bucks player could get close to him. The rabbit then ran up the hill.... ;D
Hearing that Bodmin had lost 2-1 at Falmouth and Parkway losing too was a good night for the Bucks faithful (170 odd was the actual figure).

A comfortable win in the end for bucks.... As a self-confessed admirer of our manager it is pleasing to see that they have named our top local non-league team after him! Nice to see Bucks is up for Manager of the Month for the third time this season and also leading the SWP League whilst turning out great results in League 2 should go in his favour!

Buckland were up against local rivals Bovey Tracey at Homers Heath. Buckland needed the points to keep in contention for the league title. Bovey Tracey also needed the point to ease their relegation fears. Buckland started well and produced some excellent football and leaving Bovey Tracey chasing shadows. The brake through came on 36 minutes when a corner came in Marc Revell headed it towards the goal but Bovey Tracey defender, Lee Chapman diverted the ball into his own net. Bovey Tracey fought back almost immediatly when the left sided midfielder Aaron Cowell scored with a long range effort that gave James Wannell no chance in the home goal. Buckland went into the half time break leading 2-1 when, On 41 minutes Antony Lynch went through and slid the ball under the Bovey keeper with a calm finish. The referee brought an end to the first half proceedings and Buckland were worthy of this lead. News filtered through that Falmouth were leading Bodmin at the break. Buckland started the second half well and were awarded a penalty early on in the second half, the usually the reliable Antony Lynch stepped up to take the penalty but Tom Blackler in the away goal made a fantastic save to his left. Buckland put this dissapointment behind them when on 72 mintues when Antony Lynch scored at close range with a header to make up for his earlier penalty miss. Mike Booth got the fourth on 77 minutes when he scored from close range and the Bovey heads began to drop. Buckland were not finished yet and Antony Lynch completed his hat-trick with the best goal of the game when he shot high into the top right hand corner giving the keeper no chance at all. Buckland saw out time and the 3 points were theirs. As the players were leaving the pitch fantastic news came through that Falmouth had beaten our main rivals Bodmin 2-1 and that meant that the title race is now back in our hands. Attendance; 170 Man Of The Match; Antony Lynch (with a well taken hat-trick) AMY
