I don't know if anyone is aware of this channel, but if you have Sky then you absolutely have to check it out. It's called ESPN Classic and it shows memorable matches in most sports.
They just had Spurs' 9-0 demolition of Bristol Rovers from 1977 where Lee scored four goals. *
Earlier, I saw England thrashing Holland at Euro'96 and Arsenal's "Invincibles" losing 4-2 at home to Manchester United in 2004.
What a way to spend my day off! ;D
* It may have been five, I only have it on in the background.

What a great way to spend a day Off Indeed ;)I was not aware Of the channel so will check It out. Lee was a good player In his day and the reason I felt that he was well placed to help Bucks. I know why that did not happen and probably never will, but just think what input he could have had.

I have to hand it to my brother for introducing me to this channel. It's currently showing highlights of the Ryder Cup from 1985 but my girlfriend's just turned over to Friends. It's okay, I like Friends. Lee was a good player In his day He also had GREAT hair.

Lee scored 4 goals that day, a remarkable feat in itself but the fact that it was his debut appearance for Spurs made it all the more special.
A short report on that particular match of 22nd October 1977 for anyone interested

A short report on that particular match of 22nd October 1977 for anyone interested After hearing that on the radio, the big question was how would the mighty Gulls cope without him that evening? A nice 4-2 win with two goals from the legendary Willie Brown was the answer. With the dream team of Les Lawrence and Willie Brown, who needed Colin Lee?

Alpine Joe, thanks for the stats mate. £60,000 eh? How much do you think he would have gone for in today's market?
Dave, I'm off today too so I'll keep you posted on all the goings-on on ESPN Classic ;D
Actually, I have a shed load of stuff to do today so I doubt I'll be watching it. As I'm typing that, I've just spotted that they're showing our mauling of Germany in a little while.
I love this channel! Actually, I love having Sky TV in the study. Probably my greatest idea ever.
