Buckland made their way down the A38 knowing a win would be enough to retain the CSWPL title.
A large crowd gathered at Haye road and Buckland must have had more than half the support their, out of a crowd of160
With the temperature in the high 80 this was going to be a hard afternoon for the Bucks.
Buckland were soon in control but could not break the Elburton rear guard, the break through came when Lucas Burgess nodded the ball down to Si Revell who let fly fom the edge of the box and the ball sailed into the top corner 1-0 ht
Elburton who needed the points for different reasons started well in the second half and scored when a shot from the edge of the box went over Neil Montadon and just under the bar to level the scores, 1-1
With time running out a draw looked on the cards but Elburton pressed for the winner and only a match saving clearance from Captain Ben williamson on the line prevented them scoring.
As the clock neared the 90 minute 1 final attack from the yellows substitute Shane Gill put the Gaffer through and he slotted the ball under the keeper and into the net, this sent players supporters into a mad frenzy as the referee tried to restore order.
Time was up, the final whisle went, to start wild scenes of celebration from everybody.
Back to Back champions,
WELL DONE TO EVERYBODY CONNECTED WITH BAFC.
Roll on Thursday for the cup final at Tiverton.
MY MOM Ben Williamson ( Captains performance)
Attendance 160 (100 from Buckland well done to the travelling support)
