I haven't seen the Covvy goals for years (I wasn't at the match) and I hadn't seen the Blissett incident for some time - although I remember it vividly watching as a kid on The Pop - disgusting today as it was 20 years ago. Every time I see John Uzzell when he is at Plainmoor I think back to that dreadful moment - he was a dependable leader and I think he had more good years left in him as a player with us had he not received such a horrible injury. That capped the worst 12 months for player injuries that I can recall at the club - Phil Lloyd, Paul Smith and Wes (although I recall his was "jumper's knee" which is chronic rather than a trauma injury, isn't it?) all had their careers cut-short.

I spotted a young Darren Moore in the piece on the YTS piece and Ian Lowe - who was the lad being interviewed - don't think it's David Byng.....

I've seen the Barnet one numerous times since (although nice to see they credited Stuart Jones with the miss rather than the save of the penalty!). Still incredible - an unforgettable day for any supporter at that one.
