Thanks for the great photos Chris, you see the last picture outside the ground and It looks like It should be a good ground.
Strange to see all the open terraces,Is that normal there? notice also the fencing by the main stand, glad we got rid Of then In this country.

What struck me was the lack of crush barriers on the terrace, must be one hell of a surge down the steps when they score!

Yes I see what you mean Jerry, would have thought that this ground would not meet the health and safety In this country.

What struck me was the lack of crush barriers on the terrace, must be one hell of a surge down the steps when they score! Believe it or not. They are actually seats. Stone seats. If you look very carefully there are black numbers underneath each "seat". There must be a large number of people suffering from piles in Lucca! As for the tower I really don't know.

Surprised at the low capacity. Looks a lot bigger than 7400?
Chris. Have you ever been to Como. The stadium there is a stones throw from lake Como. I think you would be hard pressed to find a more beautiful setting for a stadium anywhere in the world.

Yes I saw it in August. I had a combined boat, bus and train trip from Lugano in Switzerland to Como and back again. I did take a couple of photos from the boat but they were not that wonderful. You're right though. It is a lovely place.
