I’m sure that Bucks will want to start Elliot who came through the mid week reserve game OK as out of our three strikers he is the one most likely to get goals at the moment.

Can’t see Mark making the team and as there is no need to rush him back before he is ready and we have good cover for him. As we have said before the only problem pairing Charnock alongside Guy Branston would be we end up with two left-footers at centre-back

The only other answer would be to play Robertson next to Branston but as Bucks has said he felt Senda still needed a few more games still, he may not want to put him into the first team too early but I can see him maybe coming on for the last 20 minutes or so.

After taking 12 points from 12 in our first four games, 2 points from nine sure look like a big drop in our form and reading the match reports on here I got the feeling we did not play that well in two of the last three games but were much better in our last game and maybe should have won it.

Its important to try and get the six points on offer from our next two games to ensure we keep at or near the top of the table and it is possible if we win tomorrow and other results go our way that we will top the table at 5pm on Saturday.

I’m sure we will win and keep up our proud TFF match day cavery record going of never losing a game on the day the TFF were in number 10’s

Just back from the match.
It was grim spectacle especially the second half where we once again huffed and puffed but just couldn't get anywhere near to blowing their house down. Well beaten by an inferior team who at the start showed just why they are where they are. Looking as if they expected to get well trounced we missed some good early chances and when that happens you just know that its going to come back and bite you on the arse. The side, especially the back line with the inclusion of Danny Senda just didn't look comfortable and it was Sendas short pass across the back line to Mr nobody that created their first goal after only ten minutes when we could easily have been two up and cruising. A superb strike from the burly Bensharif after the defece opened up gave Bevan no chance from 30 odd yards . Ok, plenty of time to get back and win this one convincingly one thought but the cutting edge and sharp quick passing game of August has somehow disapeared. Sure enough we managed to get one back before half time but there was something nagging me about he pattern of play and just how inefective we have become in recent weeks. Gone was the width and wing play that was creating so many chances we just were not dynamic enough in the right areas and Macca as poor as they were just hung on in there. To the second period and I hoped that we could up the tempo and get behind them a bit more but we just got bogged down around their penalty area and just couldn't produce a killer ball or shot, and as we got more desperate they broke twice when we were fully committed to attack and scored two very good goals. All over bar the shouting as they say.
All the wishing in the world cant make your team world beaters every week and as long as we keep the faith I m certain that the belief and results will soon return. This was a bit of a shock to the system and a bookies home win banker without doubt but so to would Arsenal WBA and that indeed is the very nature of the game you lose to teams when its least expected.
A couple of points I couldn't understand why Bucks just didn't put Charnock in in place of Ellis that would have been less upsetting to the back line and he did well when he came on last week , if i were him would be feeling more than a bit miffed.
We need a better option than Mr Gritton - second time around rarely works and he is struggling to have any impact as a target man with no pace whatsoever. Once again Nicky Wroe was found wanting but remained on the pitch for the whole match.

Well that's football.......and sport in general, sometimes you just play badly and everything goes wrong - hard to put your finger on the reason, that's the feeling I had on leaving today.

After an entertaining 1st half when we should have been 2 up at least in the first 10 minutes after "flying out of the traps".......the second half was dreadful, really dreadful - we seemed content to pass the ball around prettily at a far too slow tempo, expecting the 2nd and what probably would have been decisive goal, to just sort of happen.
We didn't go for the jugular, they grew in confidence and as often happens break away to stun us not once but twice - game over.

Macclefield, decent on the break were lightweight and nervous at the back (which is clearly why they were bottom of the table at the start) and were there for the taking - when Benyon (who had a good game, i thought) is outmuscling their centre halves you know you're not up against much.

A couple of other things..........I dont like this 4-4-1-1 at home, we seemed to start with Zeb and Benyon up top for the 1st quarter in a 4-4-2 and we're all over them, wave after wave of attacks - as soon as Zebs went wide and O'kane went into the hole, Macc get back in the game as our threat seems nullified a bit.

The disallowed goal was extremely harsh, i thought and 8 times out of 10 that would have stood, Robertson looked like he had just been stronger than the defender.

Thankfully we have the opportunity to put it right quickly, on Tues
night.

More desire and passion for the full 90 minutes most definitely needed.

Merse's new striker woudn't go amiss either......
