This may seem a strange question, but why the hell are they mowing the pitch at night! The club have been pleading poverty for the last two seasons...so why use all that electricity? Have you not noticed the the weather, you have to mow it when you get half a chance, or do you know of a Mother Nature switch that you can turn off or on again? Seen the weather forcast, it needs cutting before the game so it gets cut when the oportunity arises! It`s called common sense mate or would you rather we played on a pitch that hasn`t been prepared! Is that a multi-choice question? I only put up rhetorical replies when I get "The Rolling Eyes!"

After my sucessful week of predicting wins for Torquay against Oxford and Mansfield I am going to leave this one well alone. Looking forward to going to the game tomorrow with my two sons as they don't have a game. Should be a proper day out. At least the weather has kindly deemed to relent somewhat tomorrow which should mean the game will be on. Zebs is a huge miss for us and with a whole procession of injuries and suspensions and with Barnet being useless away from home this has banana skin written all over it. A bit of spice to the game as the managers seem to hate each other - when we shellacked Stevenage at our place Stimson pointedly refused to shake Buckles offered hand at the end of the game. It was quite bizarre. I stand to be corrected but din't the ill feeling stem from a leaked team line up or something when Buckle was at Exeter? Anyway roll on tomorrow.

I felt it deserved rolling eyes, didn`t mean to upset you and apologise if I did! It`s pretty obvious really that managing a pitch is weather dependant, that`s all I was trying to say, we have to be professional about the playing surface and take the appropriate action when possible! Unlike some of my replies to people, but saying that you all know me well enough by now! Init!

So just how many will be at tomorrows game? I can see quite a few SDL games being called off due to the weather but unfortunately that will not have a significant impact on numbers. The 'kid for a quid' offer and a few good results of late should put at least another couple hundred on the gate. Plus the 150 or so away fans, I would estimate the attendance- assuming Aussies cut the grass and its not called off- to be;
2,799
Higher or lower?

Hang on a minute I didn`t cut the grass, I merely pointed out that it was being cut and if you read my earlier post you will see I stated I was typing that message as the grass was being cut! Not even I`m that good that I can type a post whilst cutting a lovely pattern in to the pitch! ;D

So come on what will todays attendance be?

I recon it will be closer to 2,467 and a 1/2. The 1/2 is me! ;D I`ve got to keep an eye on the Grand Prix qualifying and the England vs Australia rugby that`s on the beeb, hopefully I can get the lovely people in the Gulls Nest to put one of the screens on to BBC1 so I can watch the game and the F1+Rugby. Need Mark Webber to get on the front row of the grid and need the Aussies to batter the Pommies in the rugby with TUFC victorious as well, that will make my day and help destroy my liver!

I think todays game will be much harder than many expect. Barnet may be bottom but, like us, have played well and lost on many occasions this season. With a number of our first choice players sidelined through suspension and injury, this will be a close game. Crowd 2300.

5-0 to us but seen by a crowd of less than 2000 unfortunately.

I would expect Barnet to pack their players behind the ball to try and get a point, which they would see as a good result (they managed to stop Charlton scoring in the cup). Up to us to try and break them down but that is usually where we struggle.
