After the excitement of the FA Cup it is a swift return to league action against a resurgent Crewe side that have won all three of their games this year, keeping impressive clean sheets in the process. They have a pair of strikers in Donaldson and Miller in peak form scoring 25 goals between them so far this season and our defence is going to have to be at their very best.
It is a sad fact that since we have started our FA Cup campaign that we have only won once in the league and if we are to challenge for the play offs, some solid home wins particularly against our rivals is now necessary. I can't see there be any changes to the side on Saturday barring injury and hopefully we can take the confidence of that game against an in-form side.
Despite the (still unconfirmed) loss of Gritton we still have a number of attacking options on the bench and hopefully with the euphoria of a good win, there will be a sizable mid week following in fine fettle to be that twelfth man.

i went to the game at gresty road, what a match that was, walked away after a 3-3 draw feeling like we had lost,3-1 up and cruising, then a draw. They will be tougher this time around, seem to be hitting a rich vein of form,i predict 2-2,but hope we win obviously

I see that the club are issuing vouchers for the FA Cup match on Tuesday so must be optimistic that we will have a sell out. From memory, the Coventy match at this stage two years ago did so maybe they have a point. Can be a bit hard on exiles that can only travel down at the weekend and maybe the membership scheme is a good way of overcoming this. (Not forgetting the good value of the u19 membership scheme as well.)
Edit: The vouchers may be valid for the fifth round if we get through!

I no longer like midweek evening matches and it just may be a sign I’m getting old. Up far too late at night on here, followed by early morning starts and long drives, so once home in the warm it’s where I want to stay. What mad fool is going to want to go out on what is going to be a very cold night, stand out in the open, freeze to death and pay good hard money just for the pleasure of doing that? Well us silly football fans, can we be called diehards? I’m sure those sensible people staying in doors and watching the TV might come up with a very suitable name for us. It’s going to be a hard game to win and we won’t have the atmosphere we had for our cup game so we are going to need to see a good game and the perfect result, if we are not going to walk to our cars after the game moaning like hell. I really hope Bucks keeps everything as it was on Saturday and does not go back to 4-4-1-1, unless 4-4-2 is not working and he feels he needs to change things around. Its great we are on a good cup run, but its points we really need if we are not going to end up sliding down the table.

It will be interesting to see how we do line up against Crewe. They are a very good side and at Gresty Road they push right up on you and pass you to death. We might have been 3-1 up there earlier in the season but lead flattered us at the time I thought and they probably deserved the point, even though we could've defended a little better.
I think it's wise to play a holding midfielder against them to try and stop all the little one-twos they play in the build up. In the last home game against them our cause was helped by LRT crocking their nippy right winger.
Should be a good game though!

So we've got South Wales, Holland and London covered! 2-0 up against Crewe? Thats a great start. I'm currently multitasking with Zen on iPlayer, uploading photos to Flickr and checking up on the torquay score!
