The best Torquay song ever .... Fact ! .... Pity the bugger in the box now only plays it at 14-20 when the gates open, I did ask him about this at the begining of the season and he didnt sound to keen to reinstate it to its rightful place...... ie just before kick-off time. Even people who have only been up to Plainmoor a handfull of times know Robert Myles ... Children as THE Torquay song Glad you had a listen to Noah and The Whale mate ...... By the way..... what is the longest Cosy Powel solo on ? PS Just seen Mr Boyce joggin along the Harbour whilst I was readin the old Herald Excuse .... he gave me a "hello mate" and a thumbs up as he ran past ..... Top Bloke

Starting to get a little excited, not too much but a little tickle.
Sorting the music out for the car:
Deep Purple - The Platinum Collection (Best of 3 CD) Pink Floyd - Echoes Ian Dury - Best Of The Best Punk Anthems Ever...
Picked up Motorhead and Stone Deaf Forever (5 Best of Disc) - too loud I think.
Still searching for some more.....

I wish all fellow TUFC fans that are travelling to Old Trafford a very safe journey and hope you all have a great and memorable day along with watching our team win promotion.
TUFC playing at Old Trafford is such a dream fixture for me, sadly for me it’s come at the wrong time as right now I just have to try and find a way to get through each day.
I posted on a thread earlier in the season that I was not sure if winning promotion would be a good thing for our club at this time. With the ground having its capacity reduced next season it might be felt it could also come at the wrong time.
But it is there if the team do the business out on the field and I hope they do as for me it would be at least something good to remember the year 2011 for. I hope we get lots of good match reports and lots of photos as well.
Enjoy your day fellow gulls and please cheer the boys onto victory for me.

Well the nerves have started now!! None of the bars here in Lamai are showing the game.......so it's dodgy p2p on my balcony in my counterfiet Gulls polo shirt (had it made local, brilliant quality if anyone wants one). Big box of Singha ready and just 9 hours to go. Good luck to all making the trip.....even longie .

Seven years ago, I was lucky enough to join up with a group of Torquay supporters at Liverpool Street station en route to Roots Hall. It was to be the most memorable day of my life as a sports fan. I've experienced "my team" winning NFL championships (da Bears) , a NHL Stanley Cup (Black Hawks), a World Series (White Sox), a few NBA championships (Bulls), and even "soccer" titles (the Sting and Fire) but none of those championships compare to that day when Torquay won automatic promotion to the 3rd flight of English football. What a magical day, what wonderful people.
I still remember so many Gullls fans having this look of amazed confusion on their faces, not knowing if what they had just witnessed was true or not. Leroy's team put smiles on everybody's faces that day and the smiles just did not go away, not during our time at the pub immediately afterward, not during the train ride back to London and certainly not as we walked into the pub just above the station when we arrived back in London.
I can still remember how the other patrons of the pub greeted us as if we had played that day and won promotion for Torquay. It was like no experience I had ever encountered over here in the States. I was proud to wear the Torquay shirt that day and will be proud to wear it later today at the Globe Pub when I watch the proceedings with Stargull (yes they will serve breakfast).
Harboursidegull, I'll be listening to Danny Baker's podcast on the way to the Globe today as well (it is great to have him back on the air) and I hope to hear you on the Sausage Sandwich game representing Torquay.
Good luck to all of you headed to Old Trafford today and I hope that your grins will be a mile wide come 5pm today. What a great day. Enjoy!
Come on Torquay!
