This picture is from The Football League Review Number 15 dated 03/12/66 which came with the Programme for the home game against Middlesbrough on the same date. The Floodlight and Trees look familiar,also the Refreshment hut. What do you think?  |

I remember that photo - released for public consumption on my 11th birthday I note - and always assumed it was Plainmoor. Possibly taken by the photographer who took the picture of the Pitt House boys on the same visit? |

What do you think? with an absolute cracker from Ronnie Barnes into the roof of the net at what is now the away end but was just then the Babbacombe end. Our first season back in Division 3 and had we won our last two games instead of losing them then we would have been promoted in second place behind QPR, but Middlesbrough snatched the second spot by stuffing us 4-0 at their place and then we managed to lose 4-2 at home to already relegated Swansea Town the following week. Yes it is the Cow Shed and I spent many a game happily watching from there. I can remember the picture from the Football League Review at the time and hadn't realised at the time that the location was not actually identified. We just thought it very sweet that we were featured!  |
