Another picture from the Football League Review dated 03/12/66. Can anybody recognise anyone or may be themselves?

Is this Pitt House a posh type school or a school for scoundrels? I think some of the pupils had difficulties in adjusting to the educational system. Unfortunately Pitt House developed a reputation due to the malevolence of certain staff members. Wasn’t it up in the Lincombes? Mark Spedding was a Torquay United director at one stage and may even have been vice-chairman for a while.

.....seriously here...... www.communigate.co.uk/twc/pitthouseschool/......very interesting site and relevant - I'm pretty sure back in the late 60s/early 70s, it was described in my "school circles" as a "naughty boys school" or somesuch expression...............

............also just how the flipping flip did Ken Doherty (snooker player) find himself at Plainmoor in the mid-60s sitting at the back there on the right stroking his chin, almost three years before he was born? - scary, and far, far too "The Shining"-ish for me anyway............
...............and the guy on the front row, on the left, hands on knees, is it just me, or does anyone else think he must be about 30 years older than the other kids - possibly the oldest schoolboy in the world - "Brylcreem Boy extraordinaire" or what - deffo the Alpha Male in that little collection - shurely shume mishtake?................
.......the kid next to him on his left would appear to be doing the first "Brucie chin" side-on impression as well..........
.........and anyone else who is familiar with "Balls Of Steel" on Channel 4 and the character "Big Gay Following" will see in the headline on the right for the article concerning the Leyton Orient well-wisher an ideal alternative chat-up line rather than the one Mr_BGF usually employs (ah, those innocent 60s headline writers, you gotta love 'em)..........
PS:
........for interest (and according to Wiki), the only person to answer "Yes" to that initial enquiry from Mr_BGF to date, was (bizarrely) one Chris Moyles - any resultant incident(s) are not however recorded on there!...........

Is this Pitt House a posh type school or a school for scoundrels? It was a care home that didn't give a toss about its cattle. As long as it got paid from the county that the kid came from. Most of us got sent by the court system. A few was special needs. It use to house about 170 at a time. I don't think anybody's parents paid for us to go there. So the answer to your question. Is we was naughty little feckers, or that's what the priest affectionately called us. ps the last line was a Ted joke. We didn't have a priest. He was a vicar. I had robbed his trousers not his wallet I left that with a fiver missing in 78 ( he wore robes) and thrown them in the laundry basket down the hall. When he said said what he did In church.
