Last years bank holiday Monday fell on the 30th August and that date is Carol’s and mine wedding anniversary. We spent such an enjoyable day at the Lustleigh show and I would give anything in the whole world, to be able to go there today with her again.
But I know that can’t happen and I also know that tomorrow is going to be a bit of a hard day to get through as she will be so much on my mind as I remember our wedding day and what it meant to us both to finally tie the knot after already spending 10 wonderful and happy years together. We did not know on that day, just what bad news was only a few months away, but even if we had knew before we were going to tie the knot, we would have still got married.
But I know Carol will be with me today at Homers Heath, as she is everywhere I go and always looking down on me and helping me and guiding me along this path I now have to take without her here right beside me. She will be so happy watching me use the camera she so much wanted me to have for my birthday last October and while I have not used it too much lately, it feels so good when I do use it as I know that really makes my Carol happy.
I’m so looking forward to being once again being at Homers Heath today, for me being a Newton and Buckland boy, right now in my life being there gives me a real sense of being close to home I am expecting to watch a good game of football played at a very good standard and also expect to see a fine Buckland win.
I will do a report and pictures hopefully later this evening, one thing I really love doing is getting the photos off my camera and onto my PC so I can see the shots I got. I take on average around 250 photos per a match as I take then in bursts of ten. The camera I use can take ten frames a second, but I set it on three frames a second as I find that’s fast enough to catch the action shots I’m looking for such as when the ball enters the box from say a corner.
Its going to be a nice sunny afternoon by the looks of it, so if you have nothing planned for this afternoon, treat yourself to a good game of football at Homers Heath, where you will receive a very warm welcome from a very great local football club
