Buckland went up to second in the league following last night 7-1 win against Ivybridge , the scoreline was a little flattering to the yellows as Ivybridge more than matched their host in the first half.
Buckland started very well and were 2 up in the first five minutes, the first by Gary Fisher who hit a speculative shot from 30 yards out that sailed over Josh Oak in the Ivys goal.A second by Mike Booth in the 5th minute hit home when Buckland took a early throw in.
The rest of the halfwas fairly even as the youngsters of Iybridge tried to get back into the game without success.
Buckland scored again before the break when Booth scored again.3-0
Early in the second half Gary Fisher got his second from an acute angle 4-0.
As Buckland were in control now they continued to press forward for more goals, and further strikes from Cameron Kelly with a splendid free kick and with both substitutes on Liam Moseley and Ben Cowling getting further goals.
Ivybridge did pull a goal back late on, for Buckland to conceed only their second goal in 5 league games, 7-1
Attendance 95 3 more than Saturday reasonable seeing Torquay Exeter and Newton Spurs were at home.
summary much better performance and played for 90 minutes Ivybridge were a very young out fit but never gave up running and chasing.
