Nice to see that grumpy git Evans moaning about the ref's decisions tonight.
I see two ex Torquay 'keepers playing tonight (Bitner & Raynor) - when was the last time that happened?
I see that Sailsbury are only 11/5 despite losing their six games. Anybody know why the odds would be so low on Salisbury?

Maybe because they are due a win? you know what these bookies are like. They now have us down as favorites to go up, as we have not lost for nine games.

I don't know enough about the odds Dave. Just curious, perhaps some of the crew might be able to let us know how the odds thing works?

Sure the best one to tell us will be Merse, but I would have thought, that the odds would have been better than they are.
Not one to gamble, so like you know very little about how bookies work.

Bearing in mind that a football match is only a "2 horse race", 11/5 seems fair enough, considering that Crawley too are on a poor recent run. What price are they? Anyway, I wouldn't take a punt at that price as such skinny odds really demand a decent wager...................and who would back anyone in poor form? I've been whacking the miles in this week, with a late afternoon run to Brighton on Tuesday turning my day into a 16 hour slog, and a journey up to East Midlands Airport followed by a two hour wait and return to Luton Airport coming on the end of a 5am start today.......................my client had his own jet waiting for him at the Harrods Jet Terminal and I reckon he was back in Milan not long after I got home tonight via a trip to the supermarket for the week's shopping! Just seen Rayner drop that bollock ;D just like he's always been prone to (gone for a "Burton" again) with that dodgy concentration coming back to haunt him. I don't think you'll be getting even 11/5 now!

In a three-horse race, which a footy match is, 11/5 (13/5 if you searched far enough) is a pretty big price for a team at home.
Had you backed them now, just seconds after a wonderful Rayner howler, you'd be sitting pretty!!

really poor error by rayner. he always has been prone to some shockers, and they also tend to be in front of cameras. poor bloke.

Yes Its worse when Its on film, If It was a bad mistake It runs the risk Of ending up on some DVD that will come out at Xmas time.
The problem Is that Its always the keepers mistakes that are more costly and ones that can cost games and results.
Still I think he Is not a bad keeper and despite what some may say, we would have been happy to have kept him here.

Cracking result for us! ;D
With our game in hand over Crawley, we can now go above them. If anyone had said that to me four or five weeks ago, I would have had them sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY! You know I'm a sucker for a good pun Merse! I've just noticed Crawley are playing Saturday afternoon and Monday evening, making it three games in five days. Edit to say the BBC fixtures appeared to have lied to me as Crawley didn't play today at all. Ah well, we're above them and that's all that matters. ;D
