I have been asked why no reports of Bucks games lately didnt want to make this a just a Buckland local match report site , so will only do the odd report in and out.
Buckland were looking to take their 100% record up the M5 to play Cullompton, they were trying to go back to the top of the league to make it 9 wins in the league out of 9 but as Buckland know every one is trying to beat the champions and always raise their own game.
Cullompton started well but Buckland had the most of the opening play, but could not force any shots on the home goal to worry the Cully keeper,
Cullompton took the lead when Liam Moseley made a forwards tackle in a dangerous position just outside the penalty box the referee blew for the foul, A wicked cross came in and as Kenny Griffthis came out to claim the ball, Matt Harvey got a slight touch the ball nested in the back of the net 1-0 to the home team.
Buckland came out and pressed for the equalizer they were rewarded when a freekick out wide was fired in, Gary Fiher got in front of his marker and glanced his header just inside the upright leaving the Cully keeper rooted to his line.
The referee brought an end to the half and the large contingent of visiting supporters were hoping we could get a second half winner, but Cullompton would have other ideas.
The second half started and the reds were pressing for a winner and a smart save by Kenny Griffiths pushed the ball onto the post , to keep the scores level.
Liam Moseley had a chance when he back heeled the ball from less than 2 yards out but this was cleared off the line , Buckland brought on all 3 subs including ex Torquay youth player Scott Taylor, but none of these changes made a difference.
Gaffer Lynch stayed on the sidelines and decided to let his troops do the buisness but his faithfull followers would have sooner seen him on the pitch as he would have made a better impact than the 11 players on the pitch as his goal scoring expertise has been missing since he has been on the bench.
The final whistle went with 2 points dropped and only time will tell if these points are going to make a difference when May comes.
Reporters summary, A very lacklustre performance by the yellows,
who just about deserved a point, no man of the match as no one deserved it.
well done to the travelling yellow army who nearly made up for half the attendance of about 100.

NB Argyl e contacted us and asked us for a friendly on Tuesday 11th October 7.30 ko at Homers Heath they say they want to give their fringe first team players a run out and 90 mins, lets show them how good Buckland are.
