Although a visit on Saturday to a sticky Ivybridge Town pitch with the River Erme threatening to burst it's banks could bring them back to earth with a bump! With the Gulls playing on Friday evening I will be along to witness it, although it will take a brave effort from the young and largely inexperienced Ivybridge team to get something out of the game. For anybody going bring wellie boots and a fishing rod!

For anybody going bring wellie boots and a fishing rod! [/quote Amy and i will be going on Saturday if it is on, Have heard that the Bridgers are having major problems with their new pitch, a new pitch takes at least a couple of seasons to settle down , lets hope it will be on as we are already behind with our fixtures. COYY.]

The River Erme has receded remarkably from a couple of days ago when the water was rushing off the moor. I've just been down to the pitch to see if anybody was about. Nobody there but there were no goal posts so I guessed it was off. Pitch was soft but I have certainly played on worse. Oh well .... just have to follow the League 2 scores as they come in which will see us in 9th place and Argyle slip deeper into the mire!

I was tempted by Ivybridge v Buckland myself but had been fearful of a postponement all week. So, whilst I've still got the chance to do such things, I saw H&R play H&Y.... Bloody cold. First use of the gloves this season.
