reservesv nike academy. entertaining game at plainmooor this afternoon resulting in a 3-2 win for the gulls. the gulls were up 2-0 at half time with two superb goals , first a volley from craig easton and shortly after another sweetly struck left foot from nathan craig. nike pulled one back after the interval only for another great strike from craig that was only parried by nikes keeper and ashley yeoman was on it like a flash to hammer home. the final goal of the game was a bizzare own goal from i believe was ed palmer when he volley home a miskick into his own net. the gulls were much the better side and always looked dangerous although the nike academy never stopped trying to knock the ball around but lacked any punch up front. late subs for the gulls were lloyd macklin and niall thompson and they both made a difference with their pace.
gulls line up rice,rowe-turner,mcdonald,leadbitter,mcphee,nardiello,craig,easton,halpin,yeoman,palmer. subs mckenzie, macklin, thompson.

Many thanks for your report there Phipsy! I suppose the thing that sticks out is the trail of Craig Easton...
