I would agree with you otobe about Danny, particularly today and he has really turned it around from a couple of months ago where he struggled to even get onto the bench. However, I think his role in the 4-3-3 system really suits him (I was dubious about this initially) and in the eight games since his return, has scored four goals which is a good ratio for any out and out striker!
The one downside from today is that Eunan picked up his fifth yellow card today so will not be available for the trip to Port Vale next week. Probably a return for McPhee?

I would say the biggest change to his performances is playing on the left. He looked like a mackerel on the harbourside earlier in the season for me when he was used on the right but boy, is he much better suited to the left wing. He will probably never turn round the dork element that feel the need to slag someone off but he certainly does the job for me now.

what a game what a second half,as others stated okanes goals particularly number two was one of the best seen at plainmoor,we were rampant second half and thoroughly deserved the win,and the mom award was never in doubt. An all round good team performance with okane and our goalie topping the class as they have so often this season, can we keep hold of them?well if eunan keeps putting performances like this in ,then its a no,and if he continues to develope he surely deserves higher league football. The demons of 1972 are now well and truly buried in the mists of time, very well done lingy and the lads, now lets press on,next stop port vale.

Ohtobe, spot on with Lathrope. He has come on massively this season. Did everything you want from a defensive midfielder, as you say others will get the plaudits, rightly so, but Lathrope had a very good game. You have to win the battle before you can win the war.
A thoroughly enjoyable game, probably the most enjoyable since the play off final. It does add to the enjoyment when relatives are in the away end.
Imagine not buying a ticket for todays game because you couldn't be arsed, you would feel well seen off right now wouldn't you ;D

People just cannot be bothered to purchase tickets before a game. I could quite easily take a car full tomorrow if it was pay on the gate but I just cannot be arsed with trying to arrange to buy tickets. You have probable got to couple this with the fact that Plymouth fans have a bit of a reoutation, and people just cannot be bothered with the hassle of it all. No doubt the home section will be plastered with away supporters - no doubt the steweards will do sod all. It just isn't worth the aggravation. Words of wisdom from the clubs biggest die-hard fan! Two words stand out- probable and reoutation! Key board pissed is it?

Typical shite management from the club as normal. Ok we are not selling tickets on Saturday morning so lets close the office early on Friday night. Whats the revenue for selling 200 tickets? £3500 +. Can't even be bothered to respond to the other comments. Toss pot gull is off again. Sooo predictable. Sooooo boring. Oh dear!

Stefano, A pleasure to bump into you again today and what a result! Without doubt the best side won and boy did I enjoy it. The temporary change of painkiller - from paracetamal to Japanese lager – has since been reverted and although in agony at least 3 times during the 2nd half, it was well worth the pain.
No doubt the sombre silence in the car back to Ivybridge must have been deafening and I hope you enjoyed it. It’s been a long wait for guys like you.
Enjoy
Brian

Regardless of the distance it was a fantastic goal!
With regards to the keeper being caught by surprise, he did look very puzzled as the ball sailed over him - I was more or less in-line with him and I can't really recall him jumping!!! I am not entirely sure that his positioning was that bad (as I overheard some of the argyle fans saying to each other after the game), it was purely a goal of such excellent quality. I was surprised, although we shouldn't be - he has so many things in his locker that I think that scouts will be taking interest.
Good point from RDJGull about Eunan's booking, that was a decision that was ridiculous given the context of the match and the goal itself. As I heard a manager this week say, the sooner there are ex-players officiating the better. We will surely miss him at Port Vale on Friday, at least he is rested for the FA Cup though...... With regards to his replacement - you may well be right about McPhee, although I think we might see Morris start and Bodin support Howe from deep.

Then the funniest thing was just after our third goal went in the rest that had got into the popside appeared to leave on their own accord, not sure why though as it was getting really good at that point ;D

didnt seem to be any problems in the family stand, one incident that stood out and upset a few of us,was a young disabled argyle supporter who openly cried when they went 3 down, for a youngster in a wheelchair who is footy and argyle mad it must of bloody hurt, feel for their real fans who have done sod all wrong, shame on those that put their club in real peril. But that isnt going to stop me celebrating this historical win for us,not so long ago us torquay fans went through hell and came through it,making hay while the sun shines springs to mind

Just seen the goals on Sky, WOW Eunan's second is even better when you watch it, then rewind, watch it, rewind......... Sometimes its a hit & hope from that sort of distance, but watch him look up, spot the keeper off his line and then strike the ball, placing it exactly where he wanted it, sublime. Booking was a bit harsh, unless someone saw something I didn't??

Enjoy Brian Brian likewise and I hope your various pains sort themselves out soon! I enjoyed texting a friend (Wolves fan) at half time to say I couldn't believe it was 0-0 as I had been watching the worst team to roll up at Plainmoor in 49 seasons. 5 minutes after that text he had to have another saying it was just like watching Brazil! The Argyle fan who gave me a lift home was actually a good sport and knowing the misery myself as a Torquay supporter I did not rub it in. Enjoyed a beer at the Union before the game which was packed with Argyle supporters and another after the game when it was 50/50. All of the Argyle fans I came across today were a credit to their club. Things are looking OK for us at the moment. Five wins on the trot with 15 for and 2 against is quite good, but just scroll back on the forum about 4 weeks and you will find the doom and gloom merchants out in force. I do love it though when they really have got nothing to moan about and we get some respite from them!

Yesterday was quite an amazing one, having not seen us beat the Janners in a league game at home in my life time it was a day of enjoyment all round. Met up with a couple of my old enclosure nomads in The Gulls Nest at ten to two and it was packed with Macklin,Lrt and Leadbitter watchin the Arsenal game. Took my now prefered spot on the Pop as it was filling up very nicely early on.as it got to about five minutes to kick off a few of the crew could be seen making their way around ...its funny these guys stick out like sore thumbs eh .... anyhow no trouble so fair do's First half was tight and we couldnt get our passing going with a couple of scrambles in Argyles box and the Jannners had a shot at Bobby near the end, it was enjoyable though at a murky Plainmoor Halftime bought some big laughs thanks to some witty stuff from the wags in The Pop who were having a dig at Deano's crossbar challenge ...... by the way who is the hot lady who stands with Deano at halftime these days ? I've spoken to her in the reception a few times .... she is smokin !! Anyway back to the footie ..... and the second half, and the first five minutes of which will live long in the memorys of all who were their to see it ......... big big shame for the fans who couldnt be arsed to go eh .... it must have been really difficult to get a ticket ..... I was stood with an old boy who was just over from France for the game yesterday, the smile on his face said it all. Eunan's two goals were superb and he ran right in front of where I was stood after each to celebrate and the absolute euphoria that the boy was feeling was clear for all to see. happy faces all round at Plainmoor young kids and dads, old boys, mum's,sisters all delighted. Danny was brave to take his goal when Eunan was on for the ball ... but he took it with a stunning amount of confidence ... Well done Danny Boy. We may have let the Janners in as we seemed to get nervy for a while and they scored after two of there players were having an exchange of words after one of them hoofed a clearance into touch. The atmosphere was brilliant and especialy nice to completly outgun them in the singing department ..... my favorite moment was when they started up with "Torquay United you'll always be shit" which drew the massive response of I think every Gull fan of a nicley threatening "Who are ya ... Who are ya .... Who are ya?" ... and it all went very very quite in the babbacombe end ........ Priceless and worth the admission alone All in all a blinder of a day and no sign of the Crew on the Harbour afterwards .... probably put off by all the masses of familys down for the fireworks (which were good btw ... if a tad short) Sadly my stepdad (been a Gulls fan for over 60 years) missed it ...... sunning himself on Fraser Island and Hervey Bay .... Australia ......

Thanks to all those who have described Eunan's two goals. I'm beginning to picture what I missed. In future I shall make use of the lavatorial facilities before the second half starts.
