For the second successive week, we have a reserve fixture and I wouldn't be surprised to see Tom Aldred in this one so Ling can assess him in a match situation. If he impresses enough, he may even get a start with Robertson at right back and Oastler in midfield! However, although all three have played in these positions, it does entail a lot of positional changes and Aldred has very little league experience to draw upon if he ends up starting against a very good side. We are currently languishing in fifth place out of six teams in this league and I hope that a relatively strong side is put out against a strong Cheltenham side whose first team is literally flying in the league!

Herald report on the following as the starting line up:
Rice; Leadbitter, Aldred, Cayford, Rowe-Turner; Kudi, McPhee, Yeoman; Macklin, Atieno, Halpin.
Includes a trailist Cayford. Not sure if that is 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 depending on where Yeoman plays.
I think we will do better than the return fixture for sure if that is the confirmed line up. Also looks like Aldred is getting a run out in his usual position.

Above line up confirmed with following subs: James Washburn, Jordan Kewell, Sean Latimer, Daniel Sullivan, Aaron Ibbetson. Unfortunately we have gone a goal behind in the eighth minute due to a defensive mix up from the back when dealing with a cross Play seems to be even otherwise.....

2-1 to Torquay at half time! Great solo effort by Macklin with Halpin then setting up Yeoman to take the lead just before half time.

Full Time: 4:2 to Torquay. Second half goals from Atieno getting us some measure of revenge for that return fixture.
I await with bated breathe for any match reports! ;D
