Yeah, it's fair game, even if it's all been a bit exaggerated, as some say (I believe he has said himself that he doesn't actually vote in elections)

Loving his latest outburst www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17432968"too much pressure".... What a perfect time to play em We are on an amazing run, players must be buzzing. We`re the underdogs and as Nico says "nothing to lose" little bit of a gap, so a slip up won`t be a disaster. probably for the first time since the start of the season, they are experiencing a few questions. Maybe causing a slight doubt. Wembley on the horizon. Lose this game and the title is wide open. Could be 5 pts adrift by the time they face the Gas. Happy days milber Crikey, if you removed the football references that's almost like a political speech from the nineteen forties. The Benito m. or Boney m as I like to call him was tongue in cheek of course in any case he wasn't all bad he started life as a teacher and Adolf Hitler was an art student as I remember they just went off the rails a bit and it all just got out of hand for a while and lets face it if it were to happen today they would proabably get a small fine and community service.

Paulo "I am a fascist, not a racist" di Canio is bright enough to know that electoralism isn't the only route to fascism.

The Nazis were labelled as Facists but they were not. They were Democratic Socialists I find Paulo entertaining, arrogant, talented but I do not share his beliefs and politics

Yes, Stuart, and the 'Democratic People's Republic of Korea' is the home of democracy, just because they say so, right?

Trotsky was wrong about everything, but I could see where he was coming from when he said this: "If you cannot convince a Fascist, acquaint his head with the pavement". He just forgot to add "or Trot" after his 6th word

Indeed but there does appear to be some doubt as to how much of a fascist Paolo actually is, specifically the possibility that he may have just been saying he's a fascist to keep the notoriously right wing Lazio ultras on side

That's true, and as a self-styled 'show man', it wouldn't exactly be out of character. But his justifications of his actions read like a those of a fascist. Who talks about "My people" without being some sort of nutter? Then again, I daresay he loves his Mum

Oh I see! He just pretends to be a fascist so as to keep up appearances! ;D
Back to the match thread. Lathrope is down as 50/50 and didn't train today. Options are Morris, (with Jarvis on the wing?), McPhee and Craig if he can't make it. Thankfully, this is our last mid week game of the season unless you count the Easter weekend so a bit more recovery time after a very hectic March which has taken its toll!

I think we'd struggle without Lathrope (as I witnessed at Gillingham) unless the skipper was willing to fill in for him. S'funny... I was at Gillingham and I would bet my house that Lathrope was roaming midfield for 81 minutes... And I would further suggest that the reason we lost that game was nothing to do with his performance, more to do with Ellis/Howe/Cap'n Marvel at a corner and a tactical decision to throw everything up front.

The last two games Lathrope missed were Bradford and Gillingham if I remember correctly? I blame 'Register' for trying to alter my memories Anyway, I still think a Lathrope for Jarvis switch might be fruitful with Mansell pulling back into the protective slot. Despite his prolific scoring, Mansell should be able to keep the threat at bay with his energy which will be crucial against a good attacking team like Swindon. I might need Eunan O'Kane's skill to get round that magic roundabout. See y'all there.

I think we need to keep things as similar as possible - and having our main goal threat in Lee Mansell dropping back seems counter-productive to me - but I'm sure that Lingy will have given this great thought. We never saw the best out of Lee when he was at right-back or partnering the workshy and sloppy Nicky Wroe but he has been fantastic this season and chipped-in with an incredible number of goals for a player that has never been anything like prolific for us.
We have an excellent away record this season - and we do that by being very good on the break. Lots of teams come at us straight out of the block and I find it puzzling that none of them seem to recognise that by doing just that only 8 teams have avoided defeat in 18 matches when we are on our travels - I think it is just Gillingham that have taken anything at all off of us since the (annual!) Accrington defeat in December.
If we come away with a defeat tonight, then it isn't anything like the end of our season. Swindon are going to be overwhelming favorites amongst the non-Devon media and bookies, but they will have to work hard to beat us. I think the pressure is off us in many ways tonight - Swindon supporters will not like it if we start spoiling the party ahead of their big day at Wembley at the weekend and anything less than a victory over little Torquay will be acceptable.
I resent having to pay £25 to watch 4th division football, but I will be making an exception tonight as it is an intriguing encounter in some respects. I still think we'll take 300 or so - no doubt we'll be crammed into the corner with over-zealous stewarding. I really think that these clubs should be treated reciprocally - charge away supporters what our travelling fans get charged and have the meat-head Plymouth stewards down the away end for clubs like Swindon and Oxford - for the likes of Cheltenham, Rochdale, Morecambe and Hereford (who have always afforded supporters a decent away experience IMO) a warm welcome should await.

agree with all you say ohtobeatplainmoor, especially charging teams fans the same price we get charged at there ground, seems only fair and right, but just like you i am paying 25 excrutiatingly painful pounds tonight,to cheer the boys on,win, lose or draw they deserve our backing, swindon are expecting a crowd in exces of 10000 tonight, its goin to be electric, right up our street
