We were always going to be up against it after we conceded. They've only conceded 8 at home all year, only 1 of which has come in the last 12 games. Sounds like Ling is saving certain players for another day

Fortunately, due to Southend also losing, we're still 2nd in the table. Could have been much worse for us tonight

Went tonight.
Thought we made a good start, with lots of posession. Unfortunately, this didn't lead to any real chances and Swindon started to gain some confidence. Some quick attacks from them had us rattled, and from then on they were always in the ascendency. The goal came at the wrong time, a soft looking goal conceded from a corner.
2nd half saw much of the same, with them looking dangerous and us struggling to keep up. Their second goal killed it, and from then on it was a question of how much they would win by. Credit to us for keeping it respectable, but this was an easy 2-0 for them in the end. Don't really remember their keeper having a save to make all game, although Howe put a good shift in.
Good atmosphere, with banter between the two sets of fans. Got the feeling that this was a game too far after two long trips on the road though. Swindon looked a typical lower league promotion side - nothing incredibly spectacular, but strong and assured all over the pitch.
Let's hope we can get back on track against Port Vale at home on Saturday. We were still trying to stroke it around, and it's great to see how Ling has made his mark on the way the team play.
£25 was a f*cking joke though. No half time cig, huge queue for a coffee and stuck in the corner. Hard to come away feeling good about Swindon after that

not the end of the world. expected this to be honest.
lets move on. there are plenty of games that we should be winning in the coming weeks and that is what we should concentrate on.
not everyone can take maximum points from now until the end of the season. at least we dont have loads of games against teams around us but they all do

Vale are a good side who would have been in contention without the deduction and will feel have nothing to lose, always dangerous so this will be a tough match. Love to think they would "role over" with nothing to play for though. We stay second after what I expected the result would be at Swindon though I did think we would score and was hoping to get something from the game. The question is now is can we stay there? Its another big test of our small squad. Eight games remain and the finishing line beckons. Where will we end up?

Started pretty well with some good short sharp passing and looked a class above Swindon. However, they then had a spell of pressure and from a series of corners delivered one on the money that was inswinging and dipping nicely and all Connoll had to do was get a touch to poke it home from the edge of the six yard box! Coming back into a match is never our strong suit and a rule of thumb is we generally win when we score first and lose when we don't. I thought Swindon started the second half a lot stronger and put us under pressure and from another corner, a free header more or less put an end to the match. We went 4-4-2 and longer to try and get something but nothing much was created with O'Kane forcing a good save from a tight angle and Jarvis forgoing the opportunity of a first time shot when their keeper was out of position. On the positive side, Lathrope was fit to play and although substituted looked part tactical and part precautionary. Rene was stretching his hamstring again on the sidelines after he went off but probably was just tight. Probably means we look forward to the Port Vale match with a full compliment and that was our last mid week game and athough there is the Easter weekend double header, this can only be good news for our small squad. I thought 3 away games in seven days was a bit tough and it looked one bridge too far with not enough of our team perhaps understandably not firing on all cylinders. The table is still looking good though!

A disappointing result but no need to panic, on the night we lost to the better side. Saturday's game is massive, need to try and keep the momentum going. Crawley appear to be picking up again (unfortunately!) But others are dropping points. All to play for and a fascinating end of season ahead, just hope we grasp one of those 3 automatic places!!!

I think you have all summed up the game very well: Just a game too far, lost to a better team but have to say 600+ supporters was very impressive.
Must also mention both Teddgull and myself appreciated meeting rjd for the first time.
