Once again, September hasn't been a good month for us but with five homes games in October this could be where things are turned around. Our former BSP adversaries have found the league hard going since their well earned promotion basically ending up mid table over the last four seasons.
Aldershot have only won once, at home against Barnet, since their opening day victory at Home Park and it is fair to say that they are struggling after losing to Accy and York. They don't seem to be yielding too many goals and this is without Branston who has been on the bench. Not that they score many with Craig Reid topping the charts on three, possibly being the danger-man to watch.
As for us, too many injuries in the middle of the park and Cruise may have to start in midfield if Craig and / or Easton aren't fit. Lathrope won't be back for at least a week yet. Out wide, Danny and Macklin haven't quite fired yet since their injuries and Ling may go for Thompson as it is a home match and the lad does know how to cause problems.
If we can play a la Rochdale and Cheltenham we have a very good chance of winning this one and with the 2-4-1 offer (need to buy ticket on Monday though!) then it could be a decent mid week attendance.

Two poor and pretty tedious home performances of late I reckon will effect the attendance tomorrow night. Need some entertainment for sure. Lingy won risk Craig if there is even the slightest doubt about his fitness we just cannot afford another long term injury with our small squad. Lingys having a tweek, he has to we are just not creating enough chances or scoring enough goals. Billy needs to find some form pretty bloody quick or sections of our support will get restless and get on his back and right now we are all realising that Eunan made this team tick with Mans and Danny shadows of their former selves and yet to get off the mark. We will always stand a chance though if Howe plays and is firing on all cylinders and our back line continue plays as well as they have.

The lack of goals from midfield is probably symptomatic of the overly defensive pattern of our play in many of our matches and this seems to be something that Ling is looking to address. Bodin is a talent and will score goals but is still a youngster and getting on his back may well have the opposite desired effect. Playing in the hole may well help and I am looking forward to see how he adapts to this new position.

A damp old night in the Bay and as Petef has said, with two recent poor home performances, tonight’s gate might be lower than expected.
Hard game to call result wise, while I can’t really see the shots scoring, I wonder how many goals we do have in us and maybe we will just get one as I put in my predictions in Lou's competition.
I just hope its good entertaining game to watch and the fans that do make it, come home happy and who knows then, maybe they might share their thoughts on the game with us all.
These are the sorts of games we do need to ensure we take all three points, too many draws will cost us dearly in the end and while it would not see us in some relegation dogfight, we won’t be in the table where we would all like to be.

2-0 down and all sounding rather poor again. I'm reading we started well but got worse as the half went on
EDIT: Make that 3. Can't defend as well as not being able to score now. This is pretty worrying
EDIT 2: Make that 3-1. Slightly less bad

At least Billy's got his name of the scoresheet.

Entertaining at least. I hope were good enough over the season to finish mid table and don't end up slipping further down the snake. From what I have witnessed and at this moment in time I would take that.

I've just refreshed the OS to discover the new Match Centre taking all the space.
According to it, Gulls had 17 goal attempts of which 13 were on target!
That is attacking football!
