Like yourself, Stuart, I never tire of visiting Berry Head. Nor Walls Hiil in Torquay which, in many ways, is quite similar. But I came across a more gory scene than you did this week. Stabbed in the back. Murder in the tranquil woods between Bradfield and Stocksbridge. Who done it?

Crackin' day in Brixham followed by an evening drive, stopping off at the Church House Inn, Rattery for a nice pint of Main Line (Totnes brewed ale).
Rob, have they finished the roof at Drogo yet?

I've only just spotted this thread.
Yes, I too love to go to Berry Head and we took one of the granddaughters up there a day or so ago. If you are brave enough to go to the head itself you are almost certain to see all sorts of wild life even in mid winter including gannets, guillemots and harbour porpoises as well as the occasional seal all feeding off the fish that gather where the tides meet off the headland. Then there is the flora as Berry Head and Walls Hill (where once there was a horse race course) are both rare limestone plateaux with some very interesting plants.
Of course, both sites have far reaching views which also include the Plainmoor floodlights.
