The sun is shining the birds are singing we score twice in one match what a wonderful glorious day it is. This is so much better than reaching the bloody play offs. We get a massive whole point , I'm amazed. Open top bus has been ordered I think the squad deserve all the plaudits for this wonderful fightback. The corner has been turned. Won't mean a bloody thing if its not followed up on Saturday and for the rest of the season. Perhaps Knill finally lost his cool and said a few home truths at half time at long last he gets the useless Jarvis of the pitch. Life is good...

Find it quite funny that after all the people insisting we should play 2 up front, we score 2 goals in a match where we seemingly only had 1 up front for 85 minutes...unless of course he changed formation...

The whole idea of a forum is to have discussions with each other and offer varying opinions. You can be mature about it and debate in a reasoned, concise way, or you can take the other option and throw out cheap shots. I guess you took the second route. I been around a while now and have seen some strange guys come and go!! There are no cheap shots just have a read of some of the ridiculous dross thats been written this evening. I have many friends who have spent time, energy and money this evening like many others supporting the team during a very difficult period for the Club. When my kids were younger I used to tell them "think it dont say it"---I think a few on here should do the same-----cheers DTBH I am sure your kids have had a very good upbringing, and I am sure your words of advice have served them well during their formative years. To a certain extent I agree with the sentiments, but must say I haven't read anything on here that I would deem to be 'ridiculous dross'. A difference of opinion is will always happen, it is a forum. There really isn't much point in not saying something, it would make for a dull read if we all kept silent.

The very fact that we bother to post means we care, probably to much. Shame it needs to spelled out.

No Benyon against Southend so every opportunity to play Rene as sole front man again. A decent performance using that system again on Saturday and I reckon we may be able to ditch 4-4-2 and consequently stay up.

I see Midson scored for Wimbledon against his parent club on loan from Southend. A bit of an embarrassment for Sturock. Are we certain Benyon is ineligible?

That will be the Southend that lost 1-3 at home to Wimbledon tonight then?
Anyone can beat anyone in this league!

Yes I know you were joking loyalgull.
Still a couple of seasons away I reckon, and we'll need Billy Bodin back on top form if we're going to take on the cream of Europe. I watched the Barcelona v AC Milan game on the box this evening and what immensely talented players were on display. It's probably reasonable for Barcelona supporters to demand that their players go out and play exceptional football week in and week out.
At small lower league clubs like ours I don't think we can ask much more than the players try their best and show some character in times of adversity. No Champions League for us I'm afraid, but for tonight at least I think we can be as pleased with our players as the Barcelona supporters are with theirs.

The very fact that we bother to post means we care, probably to much. Shame it needs to spelled out. Sure, a forum will always have different opinions with different perspectives, even if we all support the same club. It's fine for constructive criticism to take place on here but it's mainly opinion and we have all been proved wrong some time or another so there are no absolutes. Personally, I see that we are two points clear of the relegations zone so nothing has been decided and while form is more than a worry, past performances are not a definitive guide to the future and a spark like tonight can be very important for confidence and morale. Who would have thought that we would have gone on a record breaking run after losing to Southend in Autumn 2011 for example? I will be supporting the club to the max for the rest of the season as it is a battle that we really can't afford to lose!
