Midson isn't on loan from Southend. He has been at Wimbledon for nearly 2 years on a permanent basis (EDIT: ah, I see there was an extra page and Jerry beat me to it)
Nearly all loan deals these days will have a clause stating that the player can't play against his parent club. It's logical

It's logical Unless you're Graham Turner! I can still picture him desperately trying to justify letting Jake Robinson play and score for us against the Shrews whilst on loan from them!!

well jamesb we will soon find out,the rose tinters out and about on another forum lol Rose tinter here!!! Whatever happens on this run-in at least it appears there may be fire in the belly. Thanks for the updates from the game lads!! As for some of the pathetic postings on here whilst the game was being played you should be ashamed--pathetic!! Find something else to do I have had the pleasure to meet so many of the TFF members, each one to date I have found to be good people who have proved over the years their true and loyal support for Torquay United. I will never forget my meeting with yourself Longeatongull, you showed me the sort of man you are and touched me so very much with your thoughtfulness and kindness bringing to Plainmoor a gift for Carol. I know Carol was also so touched by your gesture I said in a post a few weeks that we are all different, some of us are very positive people, others not so, which ever type we are does not make us any better than anyone else, or even better fans of the club. These are hard times to go through for any TUFC fan and if you are the positive type, then reading negative comments can do your head in. I did something at Plainmoor last Saturday I have never done before, when that third goal hit the back on the net I shouted out as loud as I could “ you are bloody rubbish united” I did not mean that but it was an instant reaction to the goal and the feeling that we really are now in deep trouble. I’m very sure every single fan wanted the team to win last night, dared to hope and it was no surprise to me that when we went down to ten men so early in the game and a goal behind, some members reacted in the way they did. Maybe you are like me and can always still find the way to remain positive, but we do have to try and understand not everyone can and knee jerk type post will be made on this and any other forum when the match is in progress. I personally try to wait until the game has finished before I air my views, as was proved last night the game is 90 minutes long and anything can and often does happen. I may be wrong but I think we have only taken eight points out of the last fifty one? If that is correct it’s not hard to see how going a goal behind so early sparked the reaction it did. It’s also not hard to understand why some feel we are already as good as going down as our form is so very bad. Members want the TFF to allow free speech and Rob does ensure that happens, but maybe it would be more helpful if those who have not yet given up hope, make positive posts that will then give a more balanced view and not make the forum appear as it full of nothing but darksiders and doom and gloom merchants. We are all on the same side even if it does not seem so at times, we all want United to stay up as some do have what may be genuine fears what will in time happen to the club if we don’t. To all TFF members I say please try and keep the faith, there is still plenty of points that can we won and we are not down and out yet and based on last nights performance, might have the required fight to win enough points to stay up.

Wow! What a second half performance. Ref panicked on 4 minutes sending Downes off. Ran around like headless chickens all first half. Dago were a poor side or they would have slaughtered us. We were there for the taking. Dago not as bad as Aldershot, but still poor. How they are mid table is pure league two. As Knill made his way to the dressing room at half time, he signalled to the fans to lift the players. He knew I reckon that Dago were not good enough to finish the game and we had a great chance even with only 10 men. The team were transformed. We were by far the better side in the second half. We had more chances than them. How Macklin did not score, well, poor ability and technique is only answer. Needs to go with a few others at seasons end. When we got the equaliser, I thought Dago would come back, but we matched them in every department. Then Howe reminded everybody why he is a thick league two footballer by keeping a ball in play on their right, taking himself out of the game in the process, allowing their player to take the ball forward unchallenged, lay it off then score. Thanks Rene! How many times are players told to leave those balls to go out so we have time to regroup. Everybody`s hero when putting the pen away for 2-2, but needed to make up for such a stupid horrendous mistake. Came away actually hoping the tide will turn. If Knill can extract that second half performance again, surely things will turn around. Its a shame the next game is Southend as that may undo all the good last night did us. Still, positive signs are there. Knill might have to change his name to Houdini, hope so!!
