Seeing Clarke Osborne is shelling out £3k a day just to break even I would have thought he could find a poultry £850 to keep the ladies going for the rest of the season.

link - many congratulations to TUWFC on their 2-1 win today at Keynsham! Definitely seems to be an upward trajectory in the last few weeks.

TUWFC as far as I am aware are away to Ilminster Ladies tomorrow at 2pm. Fingers crossed for another win, then. Good to read they had last weekend. The women’s team I follow (Woking - I know I know, family reasons) have got a 150 mile round trip tomorrow, so I won’t be getting my football fix this weekend. Top of the table clash for them.

Everyone has a second team 😉 so good luck for that game. Only 12 team members were in the after match photos for that win so if that was the match day squad with only one substitute then a good win. Saw on the Ilminster webpage that they had just signed a well regarded 16 year old from their youth team so maybe TUWFC can do the same from their U18 team to supplement injuries if needed?

link - a heartfelt and honest reflection on the 2019/2020 campaign by Jamie Innes. It was nice for the team to finish on the win and even from the couple of games I saw there was improvement in the performances out there. Whether the Coronavirus means they retain their league position remains to be seen but hopefully they can build on the good spirit evident in the side and restructure financially to continue onwards and upwards,

rjdgull Fascinating stuff , and I'm sure we all wish the women's team the best of luck for the new season. I shall certainly check the site occasionally to see if I can ascertain the tracksuit situation before the new campaign kicks off. Perhaps of trivial interest to some, but I'm convinced there's something to be read into the longest serving player being referred to by her surname, whereas in the post two days previous for the blonde captain, it's 'Nikki this, and Nikki that'. Poor old Farrell .

To be fair to Jamie, he did mention Niamh’s nickname so maybe in the interests of balance he felt the need to be more formal for the rest of the article. Will await the next signing to see which precedent he follows.
I do follow your lead in wishing the Woman’s Team the best of luck in the new season and hope they continue the improvements shown towards the end of the last season.
