Newport are now without a win in 8 and have just 1 win in their last 15 after losing to Dagenham on Tuesday, with the added problem of having captain David Pipe sent off. Their last away win came at struggling Wycombe on Boxing Day. This is an ideal opportunity to get back-to-back wins at last
Line-up vs Dagenham:
Gk Ian McLoughlin Def David Pipe (s/o) Def Andrew Hughes Def Tom Naylor Def Byron Anthony Mid Max Porter Mid Lee Minshull Mid Robbie Willmott Mid Ryan Burge For Danny Crow For Chris Zebroski
Subs: Ryan Jackson (Def), Harry Worley (Def), Aaron Holloway (Def), Adam Chapman (Mid), Michael Flynn (Mid), Christian Jolley (Mid), Shaun Jeffers (For)
Head-to-head:
Torquay wins: 34 Newport wins: 32 Draws: 23
Last match: Newport 2-1 Torquay (Yakubu 28; Crow 36; Azeez 58), League Two, September 2013
Last Torquay win: Newport 1-2 Torquay (Hargreaves 5, 70; Dodds 7), FA Trophy, January 2008
Last Torquay league win: Torquay 6-1 Newport, April 1988, Division Four

All ticket so at least need to book this one in advance.
Really important game as a Torquay win opens the door ajar for us and Newport would then by no means be safe themselves!

Last match: Newport 2-1 Torquay (Yakubu 28; Crow 36; Azeez 58), League Two, September 2013 Last Torquay win: Newport 1-2 Torquay (Hargreaves 5, 70; Dodds 7), FA Trophy, January 2008 Last Torquay league win: Torquay 6-1 Newport, April 1988, Division Four I was at all three. Do I win a prize? A young winner named Sharpe made his mark in the 1988 game.

Remember the 6-1 win well when we were expected to give the bottom club a hammering. I think we signed Richard Thompson some time after based on his performance that night as he looked like their only real threat.

Not much point in trying to predict games any more, expect to lose against Rochdale and win, expect to win against Cheltenham and lose! This is of course, a game we should be able to win.
One thing that is predictable though, and that is that the four games after this one are going to be rather difficult to win.
Hence in the PL I've got us down for a loss in this one, but will put the following four games down as wins!
Confused...so am I!

Sunday morning we could be off the bottom spot and only 2 points behind Exeter!

2 defenders - Welsh international Darcy Blake on a free and Irish U21 international Kevin Feely from Charlton: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/26679726Blake in particular is a very impressive signing for this level - a player who looked like being a regular in the first two tiers for the rest of his career just a year or two ago. Surprised he has dropped down to League Two so quickly

Happy days, similar to the Northampton debacle (for us that is) where they were able to bring in personnel to shore up a sinking ship!
