I think we can all breathe a sigh of collective relief that the end of the season is upon us with off the field developments perhaps our main focus now! I am away this weekend so won't be at the game or indeed TUST meeting but with Macclesfield within touching distance of achieving a play off place, it certainly will be a tough one to finish with although not having pressure to perform may be an advantage in itself!

Don't know what Sturrock said during his 4 days with us but since then we have scored 6 without reply and are looking as though we are going to finish with 4 wins on the bounce. Whilst I am happy to see that, it does seem like wallpapering over the cracks. It gives an air of respectability that is somewhat false in my opinion.

Or suggests we have underperformed somewhat. Our stats in the period from October to March were awful.....

Quite an entertaining game with a fair result. Summed up our season really poor and quite good in equal measures. When we got the ball down and passed we looked ok but too many long channel balls that possession was lost too, easily. Briscoe took his goal well , more or less passed the ball into the corner with his right foot. Toby Ajala was, named man of,the match. He played well but is so frustrating with his final ball. Briscoe set up a chance for sub Ryan Bowman late.in the game and Bowman did really well to get in a scoring position but fluffed, his, shot. Another sub John Campbell nearly won the game in the last minute with a thunderous shot from 18 yards that bounced off the upright. Others that performed creditably were.Ives,Pearce and Downes and the midfield pairing of Mcquilkin and Harding maybe did, enough to push for, contracts.

At long last a very decent performance and an entertaining late afternoon of football. Link up and player to player support as good as I have seen for months. Great free kick from Daniel in the first half from about 35 yards out heading for the top corner keeper just turns around. Hit with power and accuracy. MacQuilkin and Harding paired up very well in the middle. Having been a long time critic of Harding he turns in one of the best performances since he arrived. Passed and challenged well linked up play while MacQuilkin ran and ran and tidied up where necessary. Harding, on todays performance for me is the missing link and the middle of the park was so much more secure and solid allowing Ajala and Daniel to go at defenders. A very entertaining game with some very good on the deck football from both sides though as Florida says it leaves you wondering why its taken so long to turn it around and it certainly felt like the huge dark cloud that had been hanging around for months had finally drifted away from Plainmoor. An even tougher look to the division next season so success will be hard to come by once again but I do feel slightly more optimistic after today.

Rob Sinclair of Forrest Green please! One of the most accomplished midfield performances I saw all season. Great player at this level.
