Good win, didn't think they'd do - shame about stupid Fenwick - two yellows for kicking the ball away

Fantastic result.
When I saw our August fixtures, I thought we would do very well to get as many as six points from our first seven matches. Six points from three is a great start.

If we're going to make any sort of fist of this season, these are the teams we have to be looking at to beat...ie actually worse than us! Halifax only scoring one goal from the spot so far this season (yes I know we are only two games in) should give us the incentive to at least go there with some sort of confidence!
Sadly, I have a feeling we will spend the day hoofing the ball to Quigley, by-pass our midfield, and get a 0:0 draw!
Ooops!

shame about stupid Fenwick - two yellows for kicking the ball away Sort it out Hargreaves! I get the feeling he won't do that again with Ramshaw and Cox about. Daft, but he'll learn. Cracking result and showing bouncebackability at 1-1 and 2-2 superb stuff. Resilience like that is very encouraging indeed.

Goodness me, some of those gates are shocking ~ and we worry about surviving on 2000 gates!
Braintree with just over 800!! How on earth did the beat us so convincingly last season!? Surely Tranmere must have a decent following, so what was the home support.

It certainly does make you wonder Chelston. It seems Grimsby and Wrexham have harnessed local pride and enthusiasm, we need to do the same. OK we made the 1800 break even point last game but if we could get a gate of 3,000, that extra money would go such a long way. With a financial structure seemingly based on parsimony (at long last), I feel more confident that extra revenue would be spent more wisely, to the benefit of the team. Encourage all Gulls fans to attend matches.
